  1. Hey guys, I've recently bought a new GPU (Gigabyte RX580 Gaming 4G) and I'm not really satisfied with the noise levels (40+ dB) I've decided to buy an aftermarket cooling solution (Arctic Accelero Xtreme IV). But there might be a slight problem, I don't know if the backplate cooler can fit in my case (Cooler Master Q300L) and my motherboard (MSI B450 Mortar) without interfering with anything else. Could you guys help me figure this out?
  2. New post, new problem Anyway, just uninstalled my GPU drivers with ddu and when I tried to reboot the monitor just showed me a message "Input Not Support" What should I do with it?
  3. As I said. I can't get into BIOS. I'll try to remove the CMOS battery for a few minutes to reset the BIOS once I get home.
  4. Hey guys, Please note that this is a copy paste from Reddit and those "edits" is me just copying my replies to other comments. A few weeks ago I built my own rig and it runs as expected. But there's a few problems I have. When I launch graphics "intensive" games the computer has the tendency to randomly shut down the game or to pull the spooky bsod on me. I checked the temperatures and everything should be fine. HWMonitor shows that everything is under 70° under load. The second problem is that I can't get into the BIOS/UEFI of my motherboard. Whenever I try to open it (smashing F12/Delete/whatever button access it) the monitor shows me "No input" sign and after a few seconds the PC boots into Windows. I even tried the Shift+Click on restart thing and I also can't get into the BIOS that way. Do you guys know, what could be causing these issues? You can find my build in my signature. Edits: I oc'd the 2200g CPU to it's boost frequency. But I forgot to switch the voltage from auto, so now it's at 1.4V constantly. Before I started using the iGPU I had a used r9 380 in the system (it was crashing, sounded like a jet engine and one fan was stuck at 75 rpm) and I got rid of it as soon as possible. But I didn't uninstall it's drivers. My memory is rated at 3200 MHz CL 16 and I have a hard time reaching it. It's ok on 2933, didn't test 3000 and on 3200 it sometimes crashes.
  5. It's a lot of things. Some basic differences are (sometimes) better VRM (Power delivery to the CPU), SLI/CrossFire support, etc.
  6. Hey guys, simple question. Is combining ddr3 and ddr3l (same clocks and latency) a problem?
  7. Alright, I'll let him know right away! And also huge thanks to all of you guys, I hope I can help with this newly learnt information to someone else.
  8. I'm just forwarding (if that's a word) the message. I guess he wants to play at 1080p with 120 fps and stream at the same time.
  9. Hey guys, I'm building a pcpartpicker list for my friend. He wants to stream at 1080p at least 120hz. His budget is US $1100. I'm thinking of a Ryzen 5 2600 and RTX 2070 combo and I can't decide what type of encoding he should use to not cripple his performance that much. Here's the build if you want to look https://pcpartpicker.com/user/AVAP/saved/XWxzYJ Thanks for your suggestions!
  10. Just inserted the CMOS battery back in the system and installed Windows. Everything works so far. Thank you!
  11. Will do once I get enough sleep, pulling an all nighter wasn't a good idea. Yeah, I kinda figured that one out...
  12. Hey guys, A few hours ago I built a system (2200g, r9 380, b450m mortar, 8gb 3200mhz) and since first turning it on I had a few issues. Instead of installing Windows first I went into BIOS, turned on XMP and changed the CPU core clock to 3800 MHz. It went butter smooth, so I saved the settings and went to install Windows. 4 months ago I made myself the Windows installation USB stick (or whatever you want to call it) and it didn't work. I tried every single USB port on the front and back IO. Firstly it got to that sequence where you choose the language etc. Then it told me, that the system couldn't find an installation drive. After numerous attempts to get it working I went back into the BIOS to check if the USB stick was even being recognized. It wasn't (and still isn't)! Then something weird happened. My mouse and keyboard both froze, but the BIOS was (still is) running. I know for sure that the system is running because I can see the CPU/motherboard temperatures and time changing. Do you know what's happening? If you need any additional information then go ahead and ask!
  13. The GPU in the H200 was a GTX 1070 ti (EVGA FTW 2). The GPU I'm buying now for this system is the RTX 2070 (Gigabyte Windforce). Both the systems will in the end have identical cooling solutions 2x 140mm front intake fans 1x 120mm rear exhaust fan 1x 140mm top exhaust fan Money isn't a concern here the PSU has a budget of roughly $150. Overkill, I know, the leftover budget will be used somewhere else in the build.
  14. Hey guys, I'm building a system for my friend and he specifically told me, that he wants the NZXT H400 (Black/Red, but that's not really important). Previously I've built a system in the NZXT H200 and I've used an SFX PSU so the graphics card could breathe through the gap between the PSU shroud and bottom PSU vent. Please note that the H200 is a mini ITX case and has only 2 expansion slots. I'm wondering if the two extra expansion slots the H400 has got is enough for the GPU to breathe. Both the GPUs mentioned use an open air style cooler.
  15. Alright, thanks for your opinions. It's always nice to talk to somebody that know a lot more than you know. I really don't know how to thank you for your help. You guys brought me into the whole PC hardware genre and it's probably the second best thing that has happened to me. Thank you!
  16. Well no shit Sherlock ? wonder why I didn't think of that ?.
  17. I'm afraid I do. I'll be moving a lot between two homes (each one of them has a full setup except of the desktop) so I'll just take the case with me every time I'll be moving. If you have any other and/or better tips please tell me ?
  18. The price difference in my country is like $75 (x470 = ~200 USD) but that isn't an issue. Personally I think that RGB is a pile of rainbow shit, so I don't care about that. I'm not an audiophile or whatever you want to call it. I bet I couldn't tell the difference between those two chips. That might sell it to me. And one more thing, what do you think about the zen2 not being supported on 300 and 400 series motherboards? Do you think it could be true? source: (play it from 4:05 to around 14 minutes)
  19. I think that @Jurrunio has a point but that doesn't matter, everyone prefers something different. Take for an example Apple's sheeps... Thanks for the help, I should research more about this stuff. The only thing that's blocking me from doing it is the language barrier... I understand the "physics part" of it pretty well (or at least I hope so ?) but my knowledge of English terminology could be much better... Either way thank you for helping me again.
  20. You can't even imagine how helpful this was to me, thank you! Could I exploit your knowledge a little bit more? Which of these two motherboards would you chose? Price difference doesn't matter to me. It would be paired with a 2700x.
  21. I'm sorry if I sound stupid but could you explain to me what's the difference between those two?
  22. Hey guys, I'm building a mini ITX setup and I'm currently deciding between b450 motherboard https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/gBWfrH/msi-b450i-gaming-plus-ac-mini-itx-am4-motherboard-b450i-gaming-plus-ac and an x470 motherboard https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/Z922FT/asus-strix-x470-i-gaming-mini-itx-am4-motherboard-strix-x470-i-gaming I got to the point where I was comparing the VRM's and noticed that both of those boards had 8 phases (or at least I hope so, I don't know much about overclocking and CPU power delivery). Is this even possible that a b450 mobo has the same amount of phases as an x470 mobo?
