I was gifted a Roku device years ago for Christmas and haven't turned back. Amazon dropped twitch from Roku so I got the 4K FireTV dongle thing. This was absolutely garbage! I even purchased the extra dongle for direct wiring, which slowed the thing down. I am running strong with the Roku 4660X2 Ultra (older model). My twitch viewing has thus decreased significantly. Luckily WAN show is on Youtube. 2020 and HBO Max at launch wasn't available on either box. Also Joe Rogan Experience moved to Spotify which only supports video on Web/non "Box" platforms. I am really just trying to figure out the right question and who should ask it. I honestly didn't think about how Multi-Media boxes made money, just assumed the cost of the box. Now I am under the impression that they get commissions or something. Which would affect platform hosting. Does this affect Spotify in the same way, or can they just not handle video streaming to all platforms? Are we to just go back to HTPC solutions now? Guessing that is the fool proof solution to all these problems. I also have no experience with any of the other Multi Media boxes available. Yes using Acrobat Reader, No hardware acceleration. I am not an overclocker either.

I am considering a new PC build. My build will primarily be used for work (8-10 hours a day) and I also game. My current build i7-6700k GTX-980 Ti 970 Evo 1 TB, WD 7200 1 TB 32 GB 3000 DDR4 Peripherals: LG 32GK850G-B 32" QHD (MainMiddle) (2-AOC 24" G2460PF) I work as an estimator reviewing blueprints and conducting takeoffs. I regularly have anywhere from 1-10 Adobe documents open at a time. Some of these blueprints are pretty CPU intensive, and I get a sort of lag when scrolling. My CPU also turbos up. At the time of writing I have: 200 Processes, 2641 Threads, 147166+ Handles. I will attach a set of drawings for reference. It takes my PC an average of 2.7 seconds to free scroll from top to bottom of the 19 pages. This may seem fast, but I can't upload other more intensive sets of drawings.(example 20.30 seconds for a 23 page set). I did an impromptu test of this by free scrolling and hitting a stopwatch.
