Why would you? Just use the god damn Intel Driver Assistant, it literally exists for providing up-to-date drivers!

From Intel themselves, obviously.

I'm waiting for the noise canceling version where you get total silence but everyone else in the room gets blasted with inverse noise lol

Sounds like bullshit. You can't make sound waves curve around your head. Plus a lot of people use headphones so other people can't hear what they're listening to - either to avoid bothering them or just for privacy - and I don't see how this could possibly do that. Also, how does it distinguish whose ears it should target? And most importantly, why would you want something this big to carry around with you if you could just have headphones?

He just focuses on weird little nuisances and make a huge deal of them, for edginess/clickbait value.
Like waiting maybe 90 days for native Photoshop, and probably having Rosetta-translated Photoshop that works anyway until then.
Or waiting 120 days for the second wave of AS Macs with some of the things he’s asking for (more RAM, 10GbE, more CPU power, etc.).

nox_ reacted to GoldenLag in Would my 500W PSU be good enough for a GTX 1660Super
nope, its actually singlerail PSUs that had most of the issues.
its related to how sensetive the PSU is to transient spikes. which is decided on a PSU to PSU basis.
also there are 550 multirail PSUs that run the 3080 just fine.

Lets see what might make you think that he is an apple hater:
1.He never uses MAC
2.He still daily drivers a note 9 or mostly android
3.He daily drives windows laptop
4.He criticizes apple
So, is he an APPLE HATER? Let me put an end to this.
first of all he likes android personally, will you call apple users like ijustine an android hater! That's utter nonsense he don't hate apple ,but just like android.
same applicable for windows, because its a personal choice.
He criticizes apple! its Fu**ing wrong ! He literally criticizes everything.
Also he uses APPLE WATCH ,AIR PODS for strengthening
PERSONAL CHOICE matters you freaking apple fanboys who calls him as apple hater.

so it should be fine imho.

Did anyone really trust that Apple did what they claimed and respected the privacy of customers? Cause I sure as hell didn't, and I'm not surprised by this.

nox_ reacted to Fasauceome in Can a desktop SSD be put into a laptop?
There are lots of laptops that have M.2 whitelists. It's been a problem on previous Dell models that will only accept NVMe and SATA M.2 doesn't work.
And on desktop it's also the case that older motherboards have M.2 slots that only work with NVMe. Z97 boards, for example.

wasnt the issue mainly units with multiple 12v rails not being able to supply enough power over the rail for pci power?

Will be okay, but change that psu as soon as you can, wattage wise it's fine but it's old and afaik was not amazing even when it came out.
lol. 3070 requires 650 according to nvidia, and even 3080 can run perfectly with high quality 650 unit.

nox_ reacted to jiyeon in what and why did you name your storage drive
I've named my drives after Greek Gods just to give my storage setup a bit of excitement, although it may sound confusing at first, the storage sizes dictates/indicates what the drive is used for.
I love Greek mythology so I thought why not implement some of it into my drives.
Atlas (C:)
It's a 500GB OS drive, contains all my Windows files, drivers, and other software that needs to be kept on the fastest (and largest) drive available.
Atlas was the God who was forced to hold the Earth above him, metaphorically, my drive holds the entire OS.
Ares (D:)
Ares is a 250GB games drive, although it's looking a bit full...
Ares was the God of war and battle, metaphorically, this drive holds all the gaming spirit!
Demeter (E:)
This drive was supposed to be part of a RAID 1 array along with my F: drive but I decided to keep them separate just in case I need to dedicate a drive to a different role in the future. This mainly holds any important data such as YouTube footage that I can use to reference in the future.
Demeter was the God of harvest, metaphorically, she is important to the files that need to be safe and sound.
Hestia (F:)
This drive was meant to be part of a RAID 1 array with the above drive but never happened due to the above reasons. Like its sister, it's used as a drive for generally holding important data.
Hestia was the God of hearth, like the drive above, she is dawned with the responsibility of holding important files.
TL:DR Greek lore implemented into my drives' names, with names that match the drive responsibilities.

nox_ reacted to minibois in how do i change throttle temp for my gpu
They set the throttle temp at 80 for a reason, I would assume.
You might just want to increase your fan speed instead
