This tier could use an update. The Crucial MX500 rocks and is dirt cheap. Also new stuff came out, some rgb goodies and would be good to know how they perform against the classics. Good list though, will help more than one poor confused soul

they are comparable to your mainstream AIO bands, and you can use EKWB blocks with it if you choose to do so

you know, my dad's car had an issue quite like this, you had to put it in "contact" and wait for EXACTLY one minute before you could start the engine.
It turned out to be an electrical problem. So, while i'm not saying it is THE SAME since we're talking pcs and not cars, it does sound oddly similar. My money is on faulty PSU, not thermals but circuit wise. Do you have a spare PSU to check this?

Yes it is with soft tubing and hose clamps. But once again it will depend on the model.

Or if you can get a swiftech aio. It's an aio that's designed for this kind of thing.

The H100i is already overkill in that it won't help you get much of a better oc is at all. The H45 is already plenty for oc'ing and there's no need to replace it afterwards.

that was the Ram the Trident z rgb 2x8
The Corsair ones use propietary software iCUE. The Tridentz ALLEDGEDLY works with Aura Sync,
Since you have an ASUS board i'd go with the TRIDENTZ (only for environment compatibility. In my rig i have all Corsair products for that reason and because they look AWESOME!!!)

The problem with this generic kind of scam is that they are so vague that they're funny.
I got something similar in my work mail stating pretty much the same with minor changes...
And they also had my recordings watching porn and stuff!!!!
Except i have no webcam on my pc...
Come on guys, i know you can try a little harder than that!

The problem with Micro ATX is that there is so much garbage out there in that form factor that you have to be really careful what you buy. Most of Gigabyte's low-end and midrange Micro ATX stuff is garbage. Speaking of...
See above. I don't have experience with Gigabyte B450M boards, but most of the Gigabyte micro ATX boards I've used have been garbage. The big exception was the Z97M-Gaming 5, which was arguably the best motherboard I've ever used...but that was a few years ago, and it really does feel to me like other OEMs have gotten better while Gigabyte has gotten worse. All I can say is make sure you've checked reviews for the board before purchase and are comfortable that it won't cause problems later, because Gigabyte's customer service is a steaming turd.
Good call. I might have bought a CX550M as well.

ADATA SU800 has been really good value SSD lineup. 128 GB, 256GB, 512, etc.
for CPU/Memory combo, what GPU are you using and what games do you plan on playing? More then likely, an i5-8600k and an aftermarker cooler wouldn't be a bad idea, but you could also probably get an i7 8700 and 16GB of ram for just over $500, though you really wouldn't need it for just those games.

I wouldn't trust either of those power supplies with an overclocked R7 1700 and a GTX 1070. For comparison, up until very recently, I was running an R7 1700/GTX 1070 combination as my daily driver, and I had it powered by a Corsair RM650i. I'm not going to say you need something that expensive, but EVGA's lower-tier stuff, like the white units and the B/BT/N series, isn't really designed for a gaming rig. Look into something like this instead:
    https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139202&cm_re=cx550-_-17-139-202-_-Product
    https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139147&cm_re=cx550-_-17-139-147-_-Product

(I'm considering grabbing one or two of those...$25 for a very solid PSU, $30 for a modular one after MIR).

Actually, yeah, buy the CX550M from up there, use the $5 rebate code and send the MIR. That's a killer deal on a great PSU.

I don't recommend either motherboard. MSI's first-gen Ryzen boards were plagued with RAM compatibility issues to the point that they were almost not worth buying. I had that exact Gigabyte board for a while, and had so, sooooo many freaking problems with it that I finally just gave up and got an X370 Taichi instead. I know your budget doesn't allow for that, but bear in mind that if you're going to overclock an R7 1700, you're going to need some damn good VRMs, and there really aren't any B350 boards that offer great VRMs. AsRock and ASUS boards were the winners in gen one Ryzen, and for a Ryzen 7 I'd really recommend an X370. I used the B350-F Strix for about a year with my 1700, and 3.8 was about the upper limit for overclocking on it before the VRMs reached their limits. The X370 Taichi could push it to 3.9 with relative ease.

If you're going with a Ryzen 5 CPU, you're good with a solid B350 board. Again, AsRock and ASUS are your best bets for Ryzen 1000 CPUs.

The reason I made mention of if, is because it had my correct password and email that I used for ncix.com.  Pretty slim chance they were going to guess what my password was, so I figured it had to do with the ncix sale of the private info sitting on the harddrives.

Which means there is a legitimate issue, if you used the same password for other accounts.   It's just a matter of testing out a few sites like amazon, newegg or memoryexpress etc.

While the email may be generic, the password threat could be a problem.

@AdroG23 Sorry for slow reply man. I can't wait to have a build like yours! It might take years, but slowly and surely I will upgrade and work my way up

I like your idea about the fans. I'm having a look at some cases at the moment in the hopes of upgrading so eventually I can get a bigger CPU cooler (Hyper EVO 212 hopefully) and an ATX mobo with more RAM slots. If for whatever reason I can't find one I like right now I will use your idea and 'tinker'

So it comes with the commander pro from corsair for fans and lighting. was wondering if the commander pro can control the lighting for all 3 of the included fans because im pretty sure it only has 2 led slots. thanks.

    I guess i know where you're heading.
You probably want to use only one environment to control all the lights on you PC.
Check Auras web to see what you have there
    https://www.asus.com/campaign/aura/global/Partners-and-promotions.html

If any piece of hardware has propietary soft or some kind of "controller" it most likely won't work with Aura.
Otherwise, it should, even if not listed. Those products are like "sponsored" by ASUS and tested, that doesn't mean that others (with no propietary soft or control hard) won't work
For exaple, i have almost 2 mts  of absolutely generic led strip 5050 plugged to my MoBo and it works wonders (image to check. strip in green)
