  1. I appreciate the offer but the more I was looking at the zephyrus it just didn't have some of lesser things (ethernet port, dedicated num-pad, and thunderbolt 3) so I decided to actually go with the gs75 with the 2070 and 1tb storage.
  2. I was actually just looking at the Zephryus 701 with the 2080. It looks very solid. The lack of extra display is still a drawback but the 2080 is nice. I guess the big question is how long a 2060 will be theoretically viable. Nothing is worse than not being able to use a 3k laptop in 3 years because it can't run anything decent.
  3. Thanks for the great info. I'll definitely avoid it.
  4. Interesting, I didn't know it suffered from issues like that. Is it across all the blade 15 models or limited to certain skus?
  5. Seeing how Linus has recently put out a review for the Zenbook pro duo and I am looking for a new work/play laptop, I figured there is no better place than here to ask this. I am currently attempting to decide between the blade 15 (i9 with 2080 and either FHD or UHD) and the new zenbook pro duo (max specs) and I am looking for some advice on which to choose. Both of these units have some pros and cons for me as follows: Blade 15: Pros: -option for a high refresh rate monitor -more powerful 2080 for increased gaming performance (I do a lot of gaming. Mainly wow classic, RTS, and FPS) Cons: -only 512gb ssd for storage -razer synapse (I hate synapse 2 but haven't had any issues so far with synapse 3) Zenbook pro duo: Pros: -dual display (I am extreme when it comes to multiple displays. My desktop has 3 at all times and sometimes 4 if I have my drawing tablet in use) -better processor -more storage Cons: -slightly heavier -only a 2060 I want to make a decision based on not using an egpu because I already have multiple desktops for this. The main reason I am deciding between these 2 are due to the fact both of these are outstanding laptops and don't have the "gamer" look that most gaming laptops have these days. Any input or suggestions are really appreciated!
  6. I have recently purchased a Surface Pen for my Surface Pro 5. When I attempt to use it it is locked into a mode that makes windows consider the stylus as a touch input rather than a mouse input like in the past. Does anyone how to enable stylus as a mouse for windows 10 build 1803?
  7. I have been looking into connecting two windows computers directly together via 10gig fiber. For this I was looking to use a sfp+ nic for each computer and a Multimode LC sfp+ module for each nic. Is there any special configuration that needs to be done so the computers would be able to access files on each other? As a note this is purely a thought I had and as such you don't have to worry about drive speed limitations or if there is a better way to complete the task.
