  1. My monitor isn't detecting any display port signal from my computer after I set my computer to sleep. I have tried two different monitors and display port cables. I have come across "fixes" that suggest I unplug my monitor and PC then wait for a couple minutes for them to reset. This "fix" is only temporary and its annoying to have to do this every time I set my computer to sleep. Graphics drivers are up to date. Please help my get this figured out. Thanks, Monitor: LG 27UL550 Graphics card: Asus Strix GTX970
  2. Anyone know if titan X will have any non-reference card designs such as Evga's ACX cooler or Asus STRIX? Would be upgrading from a single 970 STRIX and going from 1080p gaming to 4k
  3. I have just built a new PC with 4790k, 970 STRIX, 16gb Vengeance pro, and now am faced with the problem that my monitor is ages slower than my PC. My monitor is a 24" Acer G245HQ 1080p, it has a refresh rate of 60hz and a 5ms response time and its isn't an IPS panel either. So I diffidently need an upgrade, I'm mainly a gamer but I also do some photography, video editing, and some streaming. I would prefer a dual monitor setup but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for taking a look at the post. My PC - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/mathewcamp/saved/m28ypg

  5. The R9 290 is the fastest single gpu out of the lot so 2 would be the best bet in terms of raw power. The also run hotter and use more power so be aware of that.
  6. Here is an 800$ PC I plan on building some time in May or June, what do you think about the parts? Good or could I do better? Btw I all Ready have a PC so this is going to be built basicly becuse why not mabey a console replacement in my living room but who knows... My Pc

  8. If you use a single 980 you wont have to worry about some of the problems of sli and still have the power to game at 1440p but you can upgrade with another graphics card down the road.
  9. I've decided to upon witch parts I want to use and have only changed the psu, ssd, and also bought some extra corsair 120mm silent fans, here is the updated full parts list. 4790k, h100i, 16gb vengeance pro 1866, z97 Maximus Hero VII, 240gb Samsung 840 evo 250gb ssd, 1tb western digital black, Corsair ax860w platinum PSU, corsair 450d case. I will post pictures of the build and also info on benchmarks and what overclocks I will end up running the PC at. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Topic
  10. As I am first time PC builder I'm very worried about spending my money and ending up with a pile of useless parts. however I have taken apart my family's old multi-media PC and re-assembled it is successfully as well as doing the same to my own laptop I'm still skeptical in my ability to pick parts and build a PC. What I'm really looking for here is some reassurance and to know that I've picked the rights parts for my needs. So whats my budget you might ask I'm looking to spend around 1500-2000 (cad), I record gameplay from time to time and stream on twitch so I would like or need to have the power to stream while I'm maxing out a game at 1080p. I have picked some parts and I'm wondering what people think and if anyone thinks some changes should be made. Thanks for taking a look at this.
