when ever i try to plug in my microphone cable into my brothers laptop the sound goes of and i cant record anything with the microphone. I tried to find it in the sound setting but it is not registering.

If i had a 500w pc and i plugged it into a 220w home will it cause a power outage.

i forgot to mention that i already have the gtx 570 and hdd (dumpster diving). The $40 is for the cpu and ram. Im also monitoring the namibian dollar to see when its best to buy parts

Hello, I am new to pc building and was wondering if the following components would work together? -Xeon x5460 quad core 3 GHz ( modified to work with 775 slots) -8gb of ddr2 ram -gtx 570 -256gb hdd If they work together can they run modern games with low setting and performance tweeks? And yes, i do understand that these components are out of date but my budget of N$650 (Namibian Dollars) is small and these are the best components i could find. Thanks in advance -Me
