I made an account to let you guys know this. My s9 plus has been having this problem and I couldn't figure it out. But I think I just did. My phone has never been in any galaxy gear vr devices but gear vr services is using FOURTY FUCKING TWO percent if my battery. This is a screen shot of its usage.
What I am currently doing is going through
Dev options - running services
Finding apps I don't use that are currently running after a fresh reboot
Then disabling them in settings. Hopefully this helps someone Ill report back if this fixes it. I'm going to try it for a few days

So I used my phone for roughly an hour and half an hour of screen on time ( light stuff tho like sync for reddit.) started at 100% and I'm at 97%. Before I generally dropped 10% am hour regardless of use. I believe I have solved this at least in my caseThis is my usage after disabling gear vr and all Samsung services I wasn't using ( like bixby, Samsung app store.) the other services were not using as much battery life as gear vr services but I figures it couldn't hurt
