We asked for better NVIDIA Control Panel, not more NVIDIA Experience bulls**t shoehorned into it. Sigh. I don't want stupid NVIDIA Experience and its stupid "library" and its stupid "optimizations".

We've gone from "This archaic control panel looks like it escaped from 2004" to "Just let me use the old archaic control panel that escaped from 2004)...

And I bet the interface will have all the stupid problems old one has, like descriptions being wonky, applying things being wonky, settings list jumping to the top on every selection etc... Because that just seems to be the NVIDIA way. They are the Apple of graphic cards...

I mean, Samsung has Auto Blocker which blocks everything non authorized and official. If you want pure security you can enable it and it will refuse to allow any sideloading entirely. But you can also choose not to if you want to sideload. Why can't Apple just do that instead of being always so stupidly pedantic about "their ways"?

They could easily shape it in a similar familiar way and get rid of the archaic Win9x limitations old one has. And without literal seconds long delays for opening and applying it. And it would be fine. But they'll instead invent something new, f**k it up and then not fix it for next 20 years.

RejZoR got a reaction from LAwLz in Microsoft is removing the ability for Windows 11 to run Android apps
Wasn't this whole thing a big deal few years ago, but the whole implementation was so stupid and hard to use no one used it? Like, if you could easily install any app from any app market, people would use it. But I'm rather technical user and apart from knowing this subsystem was available, I've never even tried it because it was so clumsy and overcomplicated.

Cheaters are hardly Valve's specific issue. Same for these scams, I'm certain that people who were scamed here will get their money back no questions asked. It's just odd that Valve allowed changes of game name and even publisher details to be identical to some other. And DRM is not Valve's domain. Steam in itself has some protections the way system works, but in the end it's up to game devs and publishers what they use or don't use. Most games have no protection outside of Steam itself, other who are so scared of their work being stolen usually use stupid Denuvo which often has bunch of performance problems.

At least for the last one you always have GOG where games are always without DRM because that's their policy. And I religiously defend it because they respect me as customer and I respect them as consumer and I have never shared any GOG game with anyone, ever.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll start doing fines based on valutation of the company, so that fines actually hurt them. What's the point in fining Apple 5 million $ when they'll make that amount literally in minutes of time that just passes and is like you said, literally operating expense. 2 billions on the other hand, it's something you can't just write off even as such huge company. EU is stupid sometimes, but boy they are doing good stuff lately.

Some are forgetting making programs isn't like "make me a video of a young woman walking down the Tokyo street" that everyone was so amazed by from OpenAi's Sora. And even that video could be anything and not exactly what you intended. With apps, you need EXACTLY what you intended and you can't just have Ai make it based on your description.

Imagine being a 2 trillion company that can't code a f**king half usable driver control panel in 20 years... I swear a room full of baboons randomly slapping keyboards since 2004 would produce something nice to use by now and it wouldn't even be in BETA version.

I am, but they are hard to find and shipping costs more than item itself. Also SW3 seems to have an odd inner ring shape so those generic ones don't fit well. This one is my own custom design and I just print stuff as needed.

It looks like this. This is the end frame so it extends outside the fan area and avoids the tubes and adds extra anti-leak surface. The wall around the edges is to prevent warping when printed with PLA as radiator gets toasty and with flat design the frame warped a bit. No warping with this design. I'll upload the models to Thingiverse when I get from work in the evening.

They could just fix the current one and I wouldn't have issues with it despite it looking like a year 2004 relic. The glitching, twitching and jumping main graphic settings with weirdly placed descriptions are the biggest offender. The other is the list of apps and games for the profile. They are just garbled altogether with no sorting style like I don't know, alphabetically? Instead it's all over the place and while it searches for the name of the game by typing it in the dropdown menu, the first one that finds is automatically selected and since they are not sorted, you can be near what you were looking for or 30 entries away.

Reason I'm so involved is because what NVIDIA delivers us now will probably be around for another 20 years without any change to it. So, if it'll be broken just like old NVCP, we'll have to deal with that for another 2 decades again...

I love it when clowns like you barge in and claim "user error". I bet you're a Linux user too, because you lot always do this s**t. You argument issues, you show it's clearly software issue and you'll always have moppets that will claim you're doing it wrong somehow. Yeah, sure, I'm clicking wrong, it's why menu always scrolls to the top. Are you for real dude?

Except it doesn't. It's full of dumb glitches and it has been this way for basically 20 years. I had a  Menu takes forever to open, graphic settings description is overlapped by settings so you need to scroll it just right to see setting description, the menu resets to the top every time you select/change anything, when you apply it flashes several times and takes like 3 seconds to apply. On a modern system with cores, RAM and SSD speeds to throw around. Not to mention it's clumsy to use.

I'd have less of an issue if NVIDIA just made it more responsive and glitch free even if it looked the same. But I had that opinion some 15 years ago. Been demanding total redesign for like a decade.
