  1. Both the strips and adapters are RGB Fusion compatible, according to the products. I even bought a coolermaster adapter which has an adapter for Asus/MSI/ASrock, and a separate 3 pin connector for Gigabyte. Is there a way I can test the connector to see if its even outputting any voltage? I haven't found any other strips that don't require an adapter for Gigabyte's X-series boards. Their Z-series seem to have the place on the boards for the pin-out of light strip wire. Pretty bewildering if an adapter is preventing me from using both VDG connectors.
  2. So I bought a couple packs of Phanteks Neon digital RGB led strips and I have a GB X470 mobo to plug them into, however, I needed an adapter (4 pin +5V, DATA, NA, GND) to (4 pin +5V, DATA, GND) to be able to connect them. I made sure my jumpers were set to 5V, and that my arrows aligned everywhere. I have 4 strips total, daisy chained in sets of 2. So I should be able to control 2 strips at once through one VDG connector and the other two through the other VDG connector on the board. When it’s all connected though the strips don’t light up at all. Do I have something backwards here?
  3. So I wouldn’t have to format and wipe my hdd, based on that. Would I also have to make a serpate windows partition to delete or just the boot partition?
  4. So I’m looking to install an ssd to use as a boot drive and going to install a fresh copy of windows on it, then transfer all important files to it from a usb drive. I currently have an hdd under use, and plan to keep that and use it as game storage. The ssd storage size is a fraction of what the hdd is, so cloning isn’t an option. Do I have to format the hdd after I install windows in the ssd? Or can I just partition my hdd, and delete the windows partition after I set up my ssd? Would my hdd interfere with the ssd if I leave everything on it, including windows, assuming I change my boot drive to ssd via bios? I’m trying to figure out the easiest and most convenient way to do it, because I’d rather not have to reinstall 200 gb worth of games.
