  1. Hey everyone! So I am planning to remove the stock PSU that comes with Acer Veriton M4620G, because of two main reasons: 1) I am repurposing this old PC with i7-3770 (4C/8T) @3.40GHz and 16GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM to be my Media and Storage Server. So I would like to have it work pretty much 24/7 without any breakdowns I would like to put in a mid-tier PSU that would not be extremely expensive but be sufficient for these components as well as 24/7 operation capability. 2) I also have a working Zotac GTX 750Ti 2GB that I would like to throw it in so I can have hardware media encoding for Plex and the current PSU does not have a 6pin connector that I can use. I'll have 4 x 8TB IronWolf Pro NAS drives in it so above anything else I want these drives not to die due to my PSU. As far as budget goes I am willing to spend $100-150, maybe go +-$20 dollars if its justified. Please feel free to suggest and share your reviews.
  2. I did Prime95 Stress Test too core temp didn't exceeded 60degree on stock cooler. And as for defragmentation i did it last week !
  3. I tried with a 4GB zipped file as well the speed stayed around 45-50 MB/s, i think its being bottle necked some how but i can't understand where !
  4. Well each of these files is around 4GB so its not that i wouldn't be able to see the max speed for each file which i mentioned above is 50MB/s isn't it way less for a Segate (6Gb/s) drive connected to a 3Gb/s port ?
  5. All six ports on my mobo are 3Gb/s it doesn't matter in which i plugin to !
  6. I don't know what crystal disk results mean, what is q32t1 supposed to tell you etc. i just did so you guys have all info. to help me out here? so can you explain what are the results showing me?
  7. Hi everyone, I have a i5-2500 and a ASUS P861 - M LX (2.0) Motherboard, i have a single Hard Drive ( Segate Baraccuda 2TB SATA 6Gb/s) running and a external Hard Drive (Segate 1TB Backup Slim Plus) running with my PC. The Internal Hard Drive is Partitioned 250GB for Drive C and rest is a single drive for DATA. The problem is when even copying files using on board SATA 3Gb/s ports from Drive D to C, I get Max 50MB/s usually which stays around 35MB/s. And when copying via a USB2.0 port to my external hard drive(3.0) i usually get 25-30 MB/s and to USB3.0 stick Max 8.0 MB/s i have tried enabling cache but no significant improvement. Can anyone here explain what is wrong here ? Aren't i supposed to get 100 - 150 MB/s with on board hard drives and 40 -50 MB/s via USB ports? Thanks
  8. I took out my 6pin and tried to boot my PC it runs fine, also the fans of 750Ti were running, it explains the PCIe slot is okay and for graphics card i have no idea that is what i am trying to do actually! As for PSU i am using Corsair VS550W
  9. Yes i have connected a 6Pin connector from my PSU to 750Ti.
  10. I do get display from VGA output on motherboard while having 750Ti running in PCI-E slot, but my PC won't detect it? And when i try to install drivers from Nvidia Driver Package it says : "Nvidia installer can not continue"! I am so frustrated right now?
  11. Hello everyone,My PC Components :Asus P8h61-m lx MotherboardI5-2500ZOTAC 750TI 2GB DDR5The issue is my graphics card is taking power as its fan is running, it is properly fixed and locked in pci-e x16 slot.Onboard graphics is Intel HD2000 i have disabled it from device manager.I have selected iGPU from BIOS. But the device manager doesn't detects a new hardware i.e. My graphics card. Gives proper display from VGA port if I take out graphics card and use only on board graphics, but very blurry and weird display with on board graphics disabled. I am using display port for output from graphics card and it is properly locked in my monitor and 750TI.I have downloaded the latest drivers from Zotac website, but it wont install saying compatible hardware not detected. Please help me!
  12. Hi guys, So i know its 2018 and Core2duo looks like something ancient, but I'll be really happy if someone could help me out here, So i need to overclock a E8500 to 4.00GHz, its currently running on an intel stock motherboard so overclocking is not possible, i searched for few motherboards online, e.g. ASROCK-P45X3 Deluxe ASUS P5E3 Pro But most are with P45 chipset, i heard somewhere that X48 is the best for overclocking in that gen. If that is so, i need a kind of list of motherboards which have X48 chipset. Thanks
