  1. thanks for suggestions, apparently there are 2 versions of X470 master SLI, and one they are selling over here doesnt come with included wifi. Not too big of a problem ill seriously consider it. Thanks!
  2. i use this one https://www.nabava.net/ it basically searches through all shops that have web presence over here and gives list of prices but its in croatian with prices in local currency. Id be grateful if you can bother going through that. In local currency my budget is around 1100kn.
  3. I just checked that one, its available but costs $260 which is too much over my budget, wifi is nice bonus but i can work around it with $7-8 adapter. Would I need something with good VRM even if i dont plan on OC? ive seen lots of talks about those on OC forums but couldnt really figure out how important they are for normal use without OC.
  4. I might have worded it poorly, but basically i cant get my hands on tomahawk or carbon ac in any of the couple of dozen shops and webshops in my country, they sold out everywhere. From skimming through search sites it seems other MBOs are available in shops around country so please suggest away Seemed like a good idea to future proof my MBO and then use saved money from cheaper CPU for 3000 series CPU once they come out in few months. Anyway which mid-range b450 would you suggest?
  5. Hello everyone, Due to unavailability of my first choice MBO B450 MSI carbon gaming ac, and my second choice b450 tomahawk im at loss which motherboard to pick. My budget for MBO is about $180 which was price of carbon ac over here, for reference tomahawk costs $130. Rest of my build is rm550x, 2x8gb ram g.skill aegis 3000 mhz CL16 F4-3000C16D-16GISB, 2200g ryzen, XFX RX 580 GTS Black Edition OC+ 8GB 256bit GDDR5, 256 gb sata SSD. Since my order is on hold due to unavilability of MBO i can switch some of those things around if you guys have some suggestions (except RAM already bought that and SSD that im reusing from old build) i also plan on adding another 1TB sata SSD probably mx500, 4TB HDD and nvme m,2 drive for OS later on as i gain more funds.. I also plan to buy new processor once 3000 series come out something like 3600/3700 and i dont plan to do heavy OC, maybe light one probably not even that. So im looking for MBO that would fit my needs now and that i wont need to change during my upgrade path. Shop suggested fatal1ty gaming k4 or asrock pro4, both of those are nearly half of my budget which is nice but it worries me about their built quality and future proofness compared to my first 2 choices. Any suggestions and advice are more than welcome please help
  6. thx for quick reply guys, is rx 580 considered high power GPU that would warrant something stronger than 550w? I dont plan on doing any OC or SLI, and would probably have up to 3-4 SSD/HDD so connector wise rm550x should be enough. What kind of card would need more than single PCIe cable with 2 connectors?
  7. Is there any difference between rm550x and rm750x both 2018 version other than wattage itself, im thinking like extra protections on large unit or something like that. 550w should be enough for my build rx 580 + ryzen 2200g/2400g (havnt decided yet) i plan to upgrade CPU to 3000 series as they come out, same with amd GPU. Price difference between PSUs is about 30 euros so im leaning more towards rm550x but if larger unit gives better protection/is more durable i wouldnt mind spending extra for that.
  8. Hello everyone, Ive seen shops around here are announcing rm750x 2018 version, it appears it will be around $20 more expensive than currently stocked rm750x 2015 version. My question is, is it worth waiting until 2018 version is in stock and paying extra $20, or changes are minor and i should just get 2015 version? my build is CPU: ryzen 2400g RAM: g.skill aegis 3000mhz 2x8gb MOBO: MSI b450 gaming pro carbon SSD: old sata 3 250gb i have laying around Plan is to upgrade CPU and GPU at some point in future(something like ryzen 2600 and rx 580 or new radeon cards once they come out since i have freesync monitor i doubt ill go nvidia), i doubt ill ever OC, or implement watercooling but i do plan adding couple of more storage disks both HDD and SSD. I hope to use base of MOBO, RAM, PSU for at least next 3-4 years, and just switch cpus, gpus to upgrade.
  9. thx for quick reply! so 4+4 cable would physically fit into 8pin port on motherboard? might be stupid question but i have to check Budget for display is around $150 after tax, its rough estimate considering im in EU, and prices can wary quite a bit compared to USA and Canada. Converted from local currency price for AOC is $148 and price of LG is $122 if that helps. I can go about 20-30 over the budget in case of good deal.
  10. Hello everyone, Im planning on building a basic gaming rig, that i can later on (6-12months) upgrade to proper gaming machine by hopefully only adding GPU and later on better CPU. So these are parts i had in mind, i already have tower and disks CPU: ryzen 2400g MOBO: B450 Gaming PRO Carbon AC RAM: GSkill Aegis 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3000MHz PSU: Corsair TX550 or Corsair RM750x Monitor: AOC 23'' IPS i2369Vm or LG 22" LED IPS, 22MK430H or some better suggestion My first choice for PSU was RM750x mostly due to great reviews it had, but after browsing around i realized that might be an overkill even once i put in top end cpu and gpu, i dont know whole lot about PSUs so i assume TX550 should be good enough? But here comes my dilemma according to manufacturer website this MOBO requires 8+4pin for CPU, but in the same time TX550 offers 4+4pin cable. Does this mean this PSU isnt compatible with this MOBO? Another dilemma i have is about monitor, LG one offers higher refresh rate and freesync, while AOC offers 2x hdmi port and integrated speaker. At some point in future id like to upgrade to 4K, and then id like to reuse this monitor as sort of shared monitor between 2 PCs, mostly when me and my significant other work on something so that we dont have to stand up and walk around table but instead just change input channel on monitor, so having 2x hdmi and speaker would be golden, but i also kinda want benefit of better refresh rate and freesync until i get to the point of changing monitors. I had 0 luck finding one in this price range that has both, but maybe i missed something? anyway thx for help guys and if you have suggestions or comments about other components please let me know!
