  1. OK never mind, figured out my mistake. I did the stupid thing of plugging the DP into the desktop instead of the graphics card
  2. Prism x240. It's from a local brand. Yeah I was asking whether the menu should be displaying even without a display cable, since nothing happens even when I press the menu
  3. I recently bought a new monitor and pc, and I tried connecting them using displayport today. However, the monitor simply states 'no signal' before going back to sleep. The PC does start up though, and my mice and keyboard all light up. I tried to use HDMI, but the HDMI port on the PC is partially blocked by metal pieces for some reason. Anyone have any idea how to resolve this issue? By the way, am I supposed to be able to access the monitor onboard menu even without having a display cable? Because the menu buttons on the monitor don't do anything when I press them, so I'm thinking it might be a monitor issue
  4. The monitor I'm looking at is from a local brand, so I doubt many sites will have reviews or tests of them unfortunately
  5. I think you're confusing input lag with response time as well
  6. OK thanks guys, I think I'll buy the monitor after all. Anyway the all in one desktop that's being replaced is over 7 years old, so I guess its response time is far worse than 6ms, so the monitor will be an upgrade either way
  7. Thats encouraging Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're talking about input lag and not response times?
  8. Hi. So I've recently bought a new PC and wanted a 144hz display to go with it. I found a 24' 144hz VA display, and all the features seem great other than the 6ms response time. I saw the sticky post that stated ghosting is negligible for modern ips panels, and that response times are inaccurate and cherry picked by the manufacturer. I wonder if that's true for a 6ms VA as well, and if I'll notice ghosting on it? Thanks
