wouldn't surprise me if this resulted in the opposite tbh lol, seems very ill thought out to "demand" something from an government that can already be done in a somewhat greyzone, its likely any officials asked about this will gladly nope out...

    tldr: dumb

i also seen more accurate videos about this showing "unplayable" games that of course still can be played just fine... truth is in many cases, even when its up they have a playerbase of 10 or so... totally irrelevant outside of the preservation aspect, which yes can be done by everyone inclined to do it.

yeah and that  my issue. it  has every feel of clickbait in said OG video and tt one.
both are small channels. that cater to niche type of views.
then with the people comment overall about the topic.
are the dumbest i ever seen. like just let some one else run it...
not how any of  it works .
you try to explain that to them. many have tried it vielded threats on the matter.
i dont like how the extreme side is using this issue and are the one pushing it.
i was able to track 3 reddit accounts pushing the OG  person video  and the alt accounts they used.
it was getting spam to convention subs etc. not it target people.
in  my mod list on a sub i run. . they keep using the same typo and that how i figure it out.

also you notice overall online its barely talk about .

hmm i dunno most games can still be played one way or another so while I'm at heart for "game preservation" this current trend seems very clickbaity and not very accurate to me.

And if *your* game cant be played anymore,  umm A name it, and B just make your own server?

And yes i know that's not always possible,  but again,  in almost all cases, probably close to 99% it is.

don't complain,  learn programming or something is my suggestion therefore. 🙂

Don’t encourage the YouTube beggars. Most annoying shit having to dig through a billion useless comments of people begging for free stuff on the internet to get to any remotely readable discussion.
Same stuff happens to anything related to moderately expensive content.

It's unlikely to be about having to investigate and do any real work as the buyer, there are times where it's obvious to reasonable suspicion that something is not legit and that is more than likely what the law seeks to address. Without that people already do skirt that responsibility and liability through the defense of "not knowing 100% if legitimate or not".

Any reasonable suspicion that a good or service sold at only 10% the regular price is suspect and going through with the purchase makes you liable if it is indeed not.

Applying laws, particularly in court isn't always so straight forward, mitigating factors count and there is also a lot more to the actual written laws nobody reads, I don't read every law in full, that would be insanity heh.  That is also if something makes it to court, police do not have to charge, they can apply common sense to a situation.

Console Wars never change.. and we want to enlist on the side of Gamers. Tier Lists are a great way to rate gaming machines and there are PLENTY of rankings to go around. What PlayStation is the greatest of all time? What Xbox sits atop of the rest? Why is Nintendo always changing their naming?

dogwitch reacted to Other James in LMG Sponsor Complaints
    Hello everyone,

Going forward, we will be locking the “LMG Sponsor Complaints” thread. Instead, sponsor complaints can be posted as individual, standalone threads in the LMG Sponsor Discussion subforum.

Please follow these steps when making complaints regarding sponsors.

    Create a New Thread.

Title of the post/thread should be “[Name of Brand] - [Summary of Complaint]”
The brand should be a current sponsor.
Did this issue happen to you or someone else?

    Describe your issue.

Have you tried solving your issue through the brand’s customer support channels? If so, what was the result?

What would an ideal resolution of your issue look like? Please include any supplementary photos to add context and clarity.

The reason for the change came after asking ourselves what we believed the thread was for, as well as wanting to keep things a bit organized. In short, our job here is to ensure the brands we work with look after our community.

We aim to work with the best brands that we can. However, that doesn’t mean we agree with every single employee, policy, or action from that brand. We are not the moral overseers of the tech world. For example, if Apple approached us with a sponsorship for ShortCircuit, we would be open to it, despite having issues with their business model in the past (Eg. Their right to repair policy).

We want to keep the focus on helping our community members reach resolutions with sponsors they may have problems with. This means keeping a focus on those that are customers of brands we work with. We also want to make sure that the proper channels have been followed before coming to us for assistance.

This new formatting will add clarity and help us keep track of problems on a brand by brand basis. This makes it easier for account leads to reference issues when we talk with our brands. It allows us to direct our contacts to one spot to assist where they can, while we monitor the conversation so we can monitor until we see the brand find a solution we find reasonable.

When we work with brands, our scripts and talking points must properly portray a product. If the product is something that you do not like or wish to purchase, that is totally up to you. If enough people aren’t interested and don’t buy from a sponsor, they won’t want to work with us in the end anyway. Being disinterested in a product does not merit a post in this subforum.

Our goal has never been to burn bridges with brands. Just because we’ve stepped away from sponsors doesn’t mean we’ve cut communication with them. We believe it’s beneficial for everyone if we work with the brand to fix whatever it was that made us step away from them. Some things we know take more time, such as full-on platform changes or reworking customer support systems. We care more that the brand is doing right by its customers and striving to fix issues, rather than “fix it now.” If we see enough improvement from a brand, we are open to resuming partnership with them. Our company isn’t perfect, and our brand partners aren’t always perfect. We care more about seeing improvement, and our partners taking care of the community.

The purpose of this update is to clarify what the Sponsor Complaints thread is for and to cut down on posts that make it harder for us to help you. This board is a place for problems and solutions. To reiterate what Colton’s original post on the thread says:

“This thread is focused on sponsor complaints related to personal product purchases, or first-hand experiences with one of LMG’s active sponsors. We will make every effort to help address these issues, but please note that we can’t respond to and help with everything, and some resolutions will take significant amounts of time to resolve.

While LMG greatly appreciates and respects community input, we reserve the right to partner with the companies we feel right promoting. We'd like to thank everyone for all the support.”

    Really?

Also not always true. Just as an example it's been found that the 5.9 Cummins does best at 1300-1500 RPM. Your logic says I should drive it much closer to the 2500 rpm it's governed to...

dogwitch reacted to Freeman in WAN Show April 12 - fuel efficient acceleration - a misconception
In WAN show on 12th April at around 3rd hour, Linus and Luke talk about light acceleration being more efficient than stronger acceleration. This is a very common misconception, that I've encountered way to often, when working in this field.

Engines work optimally at optimal load, which, for ICE engines, is close to full load. For electric motors, it varies greatly based on design.

For optimal efficiency and best fuel mileage, you'd want to accelerate at near full load in highest gear, until reaching the revs where the friction of the piston against the the cylinder causes too much drag and a speed where the wind resistance causes too much drag.

In fuel mileage competitions, when a driver reaches this speed, they shut off the gas and let the kinetic energy turn the engine, or they just switch the engine off and shift into neutral, if they can save more fuel than what it takes to start the engine.

I'm not saying anybody outside a competition should drive like this, that would be horrible, but don't feather that gas pedal either. Keeping the engine at minimal load all the time won't help it and you are not winning on efficiency either.

The way I see it, if they need that much makeup they're hiding something you probrably woudn't want to see and they know it.
So they cover it up with makeup instead.

I know not everyone is the same because some don't need much, if any really but others are at a disadvantage that way.
    It's unfortunate but true.

    However:
That in itself isn't the problem, it's when you see one that looks like they went bobbing for apples in a jar of Mabelline or Mary Kay AND they have the "I'm just the shit" (Bee-otch) attitude, that's when it's relevant.
