"unlimited" isn't actually unlimited. I heard on reddit/here from someone trying to fill up the drive it was something like a tb? May have also been 15tb, can't remember.

XFX or Sapphire would be my choices. Didn't know the powercolor one sucked though? I know the vega cards from them have been considered fairly good. Does that not apply to the 580?

What model would the 56 be? Generally the 56 is worse then the 2070 performance wise. It's more on par with the 2060 (after some undervolting and overclocking). If it's a decent model, you were willing to do that stuff and you wanted the 3 games it may be the better option, but generally the 2070 is the better choice when both at the same price.

The game matters alot. Also, if you've overclocked/undervolted would advise throwing out those numbers.

Calling anthem destiny 3 is an insult to the Destiny franchise. As for worth it. Couldn't deal tell you, as I'm not familiar with pricing in your country. But it seems like a pretty good deal if it's all working.

Driver problems would be fixed via running AMD stuff. Tmk intel/Nvidia drivers on Linux are awful (because OP source sucks, right guy?!). *That may actually only apply to Nvidia. Not sure if Intel actually supports Linux driver wise.

Doesn't VRAM typically run at much slower frequencies? You'd absolutely murder CPUs using it as RAM.

What do you think about apple? They're overpriced for what they do. How would you like them to change? Either lower the price, or justify it by providing objectively better devices. The top tier iphone doesn't deserve to be $100 more then the top tier galaxy when the galaxy provides a boat load of features, while the iphone takes away basic features (hello there headphone jack) Anything you would like to say about apple vs cheaper phones? Don't buy cheaper, buy value... unless you've got the money, then buy what you want. What do you think apple has got a hang of (What are they best at?) Manipulating people into thinking anti consumer things they do are good. Headphone jack's a great example.

Any particular reason for NVME over sata m.2? The cheaper line of Samsungs SSDs aren't noticeably worse in most tasts, bjt are *much* cheaper. As in, nearly double capacity for same price cheaper (in my experience). Besides that, looks pretty good IMO. Make sure he needs the performance, if he's a mere casual something less expensive for slightly less performance may be a better choice. Regardless, good luck.

Specially with AMD properly coming back into the game. They'll almost certainly be wanting to move to their standard CPU/GPU designs (for the sake of cost cutting, throw the low binned CPUs in).
