So in my Computer Graphics class (we learn how to use photoshop, illustrator, etc) there were a few upperclassmen in the back of the room trying to build a "Gaming" pc (i3, no GPU). I was kind of watching them out of the corner of my eye for a while, and it looked as if the only instructions they were given were "all of these pieces go into this big box". They didn't use any of the motherboard standoffs, they forgot thermal paste and figured "it'll be fine", and they somehow (dont ask me how) got the cpu in BACKWARDS. SERIOUSLY. Like, rotated 180 degrees. With the retainer down and everything. HOW DO YOU EVEN DO THAT??

I swear I can never unsee that you guys. It was truly disturbing...

Some guy called my office, trying to sell me computers. I just said "oh you mean those little box's with the tv on top? Yeah, our accountant has some". He promptly gave up and hung up the phone lol

Lol yeah anyone that knows me thinks I am God of computing, because I finally built a PC. If only building one was as hard as a lot of people think. XD

RiverChicken got a reaction from LukeLinusFanFic in Anyone ever heard of a Motorola ringtone named "Sequin"?
So I've no idea how long I've been looking, but this stupid ringtone called Sequin seems to have vanished off of the face of the earth. If you google it, you find one random forum post with another guy looking for it too, but the only answer on that post was some other guy saying "yea its a song called sequence of events. It's by the black eyed peas." I have searched and searched and searched and I cannot find any song by the black eyed peas called Sequence of events. No yt videos, nothing. If you just watch some of the random videos where they show all of the ringtones on a phone, it shows up in a lot of them, but other than that, nothing. Absolutely nothing. If anyone has any idea on how to find it, that would be great. The model is a Motorola Razr v3 on Verizon if you need it. The ringtone is called "Sequin".

RiverChicken reacted to Regner in Need a New Router... Any Suggestions?
I really like the Ubiquiti gear. Getting something like the UniFi Security Gateway, adding in a POE switch, and then APs as required. Leaves lots of room to upgrade individual parts in the future as required. It's a little more expensive but I find it to be well worth it. I run the Unifi gear at home and at a number of family members houses.

RiverChicken got a reaction from kirashi in Need a New Router... Any Suggestions?
So the answers to your questions:
    1. My house is about 30ft long and it's at one end on the top floor. It's three floors, and we dont have any "Dead" zones, although the signal is quite weak in the basement at the other end, but there will be an ap down there at some point so that's not a problem.
    2. According to the Linksys Control Panel, we have about 15-20 devices running on average at the same time, with most of them being smartphones/tablets, and our system of Amazon Echo Dots.
    3. My modem and router are currently located (Like I Said) On the top floor of my house at one end. We could move it, but then it would just be in the basement In about the same place.
    4. Like I said, We're going to end up installing ap's at some point, but it'll probably just happen when we get a new router, or if we're bored someday. I'd prefer to just install ap's instead of buying a MESH system, but I'm open for any suggestions you guys can throw at me.

Also, would you consider WiGig (60ghz) a good investment or not, beings that only a few devices support it and it's SUPER short ranged? Would it be a good future-proofing measure?

    -Thanks

(Btw sorry for not getting back to you for a few days I was out of town all weekend and didn't get a chance to check it)
