I run windows viruses sometimes on linux just for funs and giggles.

Yeah I think I’ll just download the songs when I get home when I get the data (if I do) cause I have an 8gb sd card so I can download my music to that

Most would end up going to images in that case, and I think it should be definitely more than enough.  It's also worth noting that for your usecase, even the slowed down data should be perfectly usable.

I believe you can disable automatic image previews in Discord, so you should be able to reduce data usage dramatically that way.
Edit: you can on the iOS app and the desktop application, and I believe you can on the Android app too

Oh so I don’t have to worry then? Sounds good, but is there an option to disable the images? I’d rather not blow off more data than necessary when I could be using it for other things like 144p YouTube music

honestly if you KNOW it has a virus, don’t get it. There are viruses that can brick your computer in seconds. So if it has a virus just skip it. 

They can trash your OS but you'll be hard pressed to find something that'll cause hardware to brick.
@Highkeywalts try to avoid downloading anything suspicious especially if you already know it's bad. If you absolutely must run a malicious file, use Sandboxie or a VM.

any power supply COULD explode... 99% of all powersuplies wont under normal load. The ones that do are typically pushed beyond their limits because users are stupid. The sheer paranoia when it comes to powersupplys here is rather funny, often overspending when its not needed given most never keep their pcs long enough for a psu's lifespan to even matter.
