IMO you weren't mean. He was being toxic and full of himself so I wouldn't feel bad about what you said.
It's generally best not to reply to those types of people though. They do it purposely so they can fuel their ego and get attention.

Yeah, we met cause we played 2 siege matches together. The first one we were enemies, and I completely destroyed him (I went 9 to 3) and then we were on the same team, and he stated trash talking and backseat gaming me the whole time, then he said “kid you’re trash kill yourself” so I turned in my mic and said “I’m top fragger and top score, get off my back and get on the leaderboard”
