Just saw that movie, alita the battle angel. I personally thought it was pretty good, and my dad was the only person who shared that opinion in the group that went to see the movie.
They kind of messed up the plot due to the fact that they didn't establish antagonists very well. The first guy (can't remember his name, but he was this huge dude and I think had a Russian/Ukrainian name) was one of the main antagonists of the movie that was a little vague at first. He gave Alita the "I'll be back for you message" which was a little weak in the sense that, well, that's what every villain says to the protagonist. The main antagonist that they were setting up for, some guy named Nova, wasn't explained too well. I guess they have a little more leeway to do that with the Nova character since it's clear they're setting up for a prequel with him. If a prequel happens, I'm sure he'll be all laid out and why he's immortal and all the other stuff.
I don't want to go too in depth here mainly because I want to be lazy and go waste more time on csgo.
I hope that this movie does well enough at box office for a prequel. Maybe the James Cameron and the director can redeem themselves with a good prequel. They do have a whole manga to use for a story, after all.
