You should look for the sticker in the box, since this boards were launched before Ryzen 3xxx existed, they were launched with BIOS that did not support them. New runs have included the new BIOS but if you're buying online you take the risk of it being and old board. If your question is "will this mobo work with this CPU?" the answer is yes, it will, but if you want to know if it will do it out of the box the answer is probably yes, but there's some risk involved. If you have bad luck and the mobo that you buy comes with an old BIOS what you need to do is go to the store you bought it from and ask if they could help you update it (because you need a Ryzen 2xxx CPU to even boot) or you can get someone you know to borrow you their CPU to upgrade the BIOS. Anyway, at this point I really do not belive that mobos still come with old BIOS but idk. Good luck!

Yeah, I guess that disk is very old, I bought it circa 2011 Even though the SMART data shows that, that disk was functioning well until a few weeks, is it possible that it went bad in so little time? Hi everyone! I have a home server running Ubuntu Server 20.04.1 LTS, mainly as a Samba share and some other stuff. For a great part of the Samba share I've been running a RAID 0 made with 3 old HDDs, coming to 1.8TB of storage, but recently I changed one of the drives by removing the array, formatting the drives, etc. and building a new one. I use this array to put backups on it with Aomei Backupper. The problem is that now Backupper gives me very frecuent errors of not being able to write the file, and effectively when I try to write anything to that share Windows gives me a read-only error and I have to reset the server. Also, one time I tried to copy a big file to test this problem and Windows copied like 1% of it and the dropped to 0MB/s for about 5 minutes, returning to 15 or 20 MB/s (normal is 120MB/s for my connection) for a few minutes and dropping again, very strange behaviour nad it only affected that specific share where the RAID was mounted. I made a skdump of the drives that I'll attach to the post, and every one of them has an "Overall status: BAD_SECTOR" so I tried to sudo badblocks -v /dev/sdx > badsectorsx.txt for every single drive and got the results in 3 .txt files, but now I cannot perform a fsck or e2fsck on each drive because it does nothing and trying to fsck the md device gives me this server@server:~$ sudo fsck -p /dev/md127 fsck from util-linux 2.34 /dev/md127: clean, 704/122077184 files, 164898792/488284800 blocks What can I do to repair those bad sectors or to make the array work OK again? My modest opinion would be to go with the Cooler Master Hyper 212. I have a Ryzen 3500 (basically a 3600 with 6 threads) and I'm keeping it cool with a Wraith classic (the one with the heat pipes) just fine, not passing 80ºC while playing nor while running Cinebench or Prime 95!

I would go with a B450, B550 are expensive and nonsense for this type of built. I wouldn't mind the PSU, SeaSonic is a good brand, 80+ Bronze is really fine.

Hmmm, it's a bit tough. I personally would go with more memory, but your knowledg may vary, I think that for your use case it's not worth it the dual channel.

I've got 100 Mbits/S down and Steams downloads at 12,5 MBytes/S, so it seems about right, you have 200 Mbits/S down but you might not be getting more than 100 Mbits/S because your network adapter is only 100 Mbits/S. Go to Settings (Windows) / Network / Change Adaptor Settings (or something like that, I don't have Windows in English) and double click on your actual connection.You should get this window: If you see there it says the speed of the connection, if it says 100 Mbits/S, that's why you're downloading at that speed.

In any case you can return it, or try specifying if they can asure you that it is actually compatible.

It depends on the specific mobo you get, you might buy one that isn't out of the box compatible while the one that was next to it on the shelf is. You can't be sure, you can only be if there's a sticker (i think) on the box or something like that. Snap and Flatpak are package managers, like apt on Ubuntu. I think (might be wrong) the snap is simpler to install and manage.

Yes! I've thought also that it could be possible to delete it from WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) but I didn't try. A guy on the Windows forum answered that it was an invalid name and because of that, Windows wasn't able to deal with it. He purposed this command: del "\\?\c:\users\Juanm\desktop\s36c.". I'll leave it here in case it comes handy to someone else, I didn't try it, so I don't know if it works, but it seems legit haha. Oh, also. The guy got mad at me for asking in the forum and then saying that I've alredy solved it using Ubuntu, I'm glad you didn't . Sorry if I wasted your time!

I think that wouldn't have helped, since I knew it wasn't malware, rather it was a Windows' glitch. I successfully deleted it by using my Ubuntu dual boot and accessing the Windows c drive from there. Thank you very much though!

@Nishant Kumar @vaiwalker Unlocker did not work either, it showed an error and tried to delete it "on the nex restart", after restarting the PC, the little bastard is still there.

Yep, tried that also, didn't work because it's like the file doesn't exist, the system can't find it, but it displays it on the desktop for no reason. I'll give this a try and I'll let you know! I was just with the chat support of Microsoft and the guy at the other end couldn't find a solution, tried various commands and some other things, file's still there. Also, Windows doesn't even seem to decide on the size of the file haha.
