  1. A single 8 pin with pigtail might be the issue the 7800xt is rated around 260W and a single 8pin is rated for 150W the pigtail does not increase that number. two separate from the PSU 8pins should fix your crashing issue if its a power issue. Its also just best practice to do that in the first place with higher end gpus. If you don't have another 8 pin make sure when buying another to list the specific psu model as not all modular cables are the same pinout on the psu side! A side note 850w is enough for your gpu im running a 7900xt on 850W
  2. 3 high refresh rate displays and one normal one Is quite the setup! While I don't know the theoretical bandwidth maximum of the card you are definitely getting up there. The Neo G8 could be pulling anywhere from 55 - 77 Gbit/s on its own! Adding in the other monitors you are theoretically pulling 86 - 106 Gbit/s! that is if all monitors are DP but the point stands that you may just have too much if you were to downgrade one of your other 1080p monitors to a lower refresh rate you may be able to get away with it. Try setting the 1080p 144 or the 280 to a lower refresh rate.
  3. Im DDUing my drivers now but im not sure what's causing this wondering if its a software issue as my gpu is brand new basically lol. If anyone has had a similar issue let me know.
  4. To mention as well I posted about this to toms hardware and a guy showed me how to force a bsod wich did make a mini dump. he is currently looking at it.
  5. The system drive has 300gb of free space currently
  6. I did download the ones from asus I can go and download the newest direct from amd. Should I update to the "beta" Bios? I am running the 2816 bios
  7. ASUS B550M-Plus Corsair 750w 80+ Platinum The ram is unlikely to be the problem at this point as the issue has persisted over both kits ive used.
  8. Full system 5800x B550 mobo 32gb Kingston ram (New) 6900xt watercooled
  9. If you didn't see my last post my pc has been having intermittent crashing issues. I tried reinstalling windows last night which resolved most of the errors however one still persists. Event viewer now spits out "Dump file creation failed due to error during dump creation" Before the system reboots. No bsod and little to no info. Leaving me with "Bug Check code 292" and some sadness. If anyone has any ideas let me know. Alot of internet searching leads me to believe its a hardware issue however I dont know what else to check. I have now done: -Windows reinstall -latest drivers -latest stable bios -latest chipset driver -Installed WD software all drives Healthy The best way to get the error to happen is to play MW2 2022. Most of the time I get a crash within an hour. Under regular stress tests the pc runs fine so its not a temperature problem. Another possibility may be my wifi card? it spits out random warnings every once in a while.
  10. Is there anyway to reinstall windows without deleting all files (in my case across 3 drives) I currently have very slow internet that would make it quite annoying to reinstall alot of my games.
  11. Thats fair. im starting to go crazy. the soft crash i had was a different problem that may have been caused by audio drivers? Ill have to see if I get the other crash again (However its very likely at this point) Just found another error event with "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort1." Is it possible and drive is failing? Fuck sake Im so confused
  12. Yeah Im lost I dont want to reinstall windows but im running out of hope....... Got a different weird crash where the game managed to recover but windows was basically broken. is it possible someone can read the dump file for more info? Windows wont even let me open them........
  13. I had tried using hydra but found it very unstable. I'll be checking out pbo and trying a light undervolt. no crash yet at 15mins but the ccd and package reached 95.8 and 91.4 respectively. However the temp aida checks hasn't passed 80. Although he monitors main CPU temp hit 90.
  14. Yeah I was of the same impression. As expected the repaste did not change anything lol. Should I just run the stress test for ~30mins to see if it's okay. I already have a pretty aggressive fan curve but I'll mess with it more. Also I might add two additional fans to my case tonight.
  15. Yeah I'll start a repaste here I'll report back.
  16. The ram came back fine. I'm running a stress test of aida 64. While the cpu hasn't crashed yet the main ccd did reach 91 degrees briefly. I guess I should try a repaste? In running a 360mm arctic freezer 2. Main temp seems to be about 85c witch seems high.
  17. Thanks for the response ive been suspecting mabey ram. I did do a Mem test but ill try running memtest86 now it is lower quality Tforce sticks
  18. Ive been having crashes at least once a day by CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED I cant seem to find the culprit if anyone understands Blue screen viewer that might help. Some things ive tried to do: Bios update, GPU Driver update, Chipset update, removing ASUS Armory crate ect. If anyone knows whats going on please let me know. I see people talking about a similar issue and possibly being hardware related but I dont know how to interpret Blue Screen viewer. If you need more info please let me know. 19. As I turns out It must be installed from a FAT 32 drive so its working now
  20. Sadly Its just saying "Selected file is not a UEFI Bios" I Just tried without renaming it with the same results. Ive triple checked to make sure that im downloading the correct bios for the correct motherboard..... honestly im lost lol. Im trying to do this as ive been having intermittent crashing (the Bios is also 2 years old....)
  21. To note I am renaming the bios with the included tool as asus asks you to do.
  22. I have an ASUS tuf gaming b550m-plus on bios version 2006. Ive been trying to upgrade it but I cant seem to get it to work. I tried going in steps but it says the same message even with one bios version newer. I tried updating to the same 2006 bios as they have different dates listed to no avail. any ideas would be appreciated. If you need more info please just send me a message and ill respond.
  23. Thats what I was getting down to. Some A320 boards support it but It all depends on what revision he has.
