  1. I don't. My initial guess is that it hasn't been added yet in the latest Kernel, but that's why I was wondering if anyone else had run into this. Everything reports as normal, but no audio works, and like I said, Windows 11 seems to work fine out of the box
  2. Could also be the PSU. Have you checked either the cable for the PSU or the unit itself?
  3. Hi, I've been having this issue on every Linux Distro, so I'm suspecting it might be an issue of a lack of kernel support. But the audio on my speakers won't work on my HP Envy Laptop (HP 15-ey0013dx) and I'm trying to figure out why. Every distro I've tried uses pipewire, distros that use pulseaudio typically also have outdated network packages for this machine, so I tend to avoid those. HDMI audio and 3.5mm jack audio work fine, as well as bluetooth. It'll show 17h/19h HD Audio as an option in the audio settings, but nothing happens. This is literally the ONLY problem I'm having, currently running Garuda Linux, but this happens on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora, and ZorinOS. Any suggestions? Also, yes, Windows 11 DOES work and I have audio when I run that, but I can't stand Windows and I'm trying to run Linux exclusively on my laptop.
  4. Yup, removed and reinstalled as well. Same issue.
  5. Yeah... I normally attempt this first, which I did, but it only crashes and the laptop restarts with no error message or anything. I've tried different flash drives, BIOS versions above A08, to no avail. Updating from the OS is the closest I've gotten so far because at least it's given me a code of some sort...
  6. I have a Dell laptop that I'm pretty sure the BIOS has been corrupted, but wanted to get a second opinion. The latest BIOS update (A12) is from March 2018, but this one is stuck on A08. Windows tends to run alright, but I'm a Linux fan and have random crashes constantly when running any Linux OS. This is a known problem and was fixed with the A10 update, but I'm unable to update it. From Windows, it goes through the process normally, but upon reboot, no changes have been made to the BIOS and is stuck in the same boat order in Legacy mode. Every time I attempt to change any settings to the BIOS, no changes are saved. I attempted to use BiosDisk for Linux since it can flash in Legacy mode and, from what I've read, others can only do UEFI/EFI mode flashing. BiosDisk uses FreeDOS to run an image the runs the exe update file from the computer's drive. I did this, but ended up with the following error message in the attached photo. I attempted to find the same error code online, but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know if this simply means my BIOS is corrupted, or am I missing something? Any help would be much appreciated!
