Voy reacted to Alex Atkin UK in Stress testing Network Card
That's probably not going to work as the network stack will know its the same device and bypass the physical network entirely. Even if that could work, I'd argue you want something closer to a real-world scenario if you're looking to see if its going to work in the real-world.
You're only going to stress test between two different machines, so you'd have to look at details stats if you then have a problem to figure out which side was causing the problem.

Voy reacted to undergroundbeef in Plex running in cloud??
I don't see why not. I've used my home Plex server to watch content while traveling all over the world. I can only assume having it in the could would be better.
One thing you'll want to look at is the cost network usage. Depending on the cloud provider, I could see it getting expensive.

I agree with @An0maly_76, that sounds like Motherbard issue.

Actually, it was power supply!
I guess gpu did not get enough power and mobo was freaking out.
Other gpu I tested was much lower power.

Oh yeah with those specs good luck :p.
It cannot even come remotely close to keeping that cool. Basically all you can do is learn to live with it. Could try undervolting but even then this is way too much computer for such a little laptop.
For a comparison a ge75 from msi which is over double the thickness (and has well over double in cooling) still cannot keep a 10875h in control with it's temps.
If it's new I'd recommend returning it and getting either a more efficient laptop or a appropriately cooled one.
As for performance impact it's about 20-40% worse compared to a correctly cooled 10875h.
A comparative cpu would be a 5800U at 25w. Which basically means it can run full speed in tiny ultrabooks (or devices like the steamdeck)

Voy reacted to aDoomGuy in Hiding Drive in Windows
If I understand you correctly, sure no problem.
Right click your Windows logo (the one that opens start menu)
Open disk management in the list
Find the drive/partitions you wish to hide, right click them and choose change drive letter.
Remove drive letter, click ok and done.

Voy reacted to Totallycasual in PS4 Pro with 1.79TB SSD vs PS5
I had a PS4 Pro with a large drive and a bunch of games, i ended up trading them in and my PS5 (disk version) only ended up costing me $200 or so, well worth it because even if you're not keen on 60fps or any next gen exclusives, playing something like The Last of Us Part II made my pro sound like a jet engine taking off but now on my PS5 it's whisper quiet (while also running better).

Voy reacted to porina in hy does everyone want to install Windows on the Steam Deck?
Who says it has to be Win11? Win10 is still an option. I didn't order the device, but if I did, I'd imagine I'd want Windows 10 so I can run basically any Windows games I want.
Remember all the hate when Win10 came out, and everyone said they'd stick to Win7? I wonder how many still do. Win11 isn't that different from Win10, and in time it will happen.

Both great websites. Free code camp has a python course that is pretty good. Get yourself familiar with the syntax!

Voy reacted to RMTM in Help! Upgraded CPU now RAM wont run at rated speeds via XMP
By looking up your motherboard's specs, DDR4 3600Mhz seems like it is not supported on XMP mode. I suggest that you rather try setting your RAM speed and timings manually. Voltage should be kept at 1.35V.
Your motherboard BIOS has an updated current version to 7C02v3C dated January 18, 2022.

Voy got a reaction from Mark Kaine in Botherations, You’ll need a Microsoft account to set up future versions of Windows 11 Pro
Okay, I will have very unpopular opinion here.
What is the problem with MS account?
I can't see anyone complain about Apple doing that for years.
I use Windows 11 Pro, and I am logged in with their account, and you know what? I also have 2FA set up and when I reinstalled my Windows recently all I had to do was give my account email and accept login on 2FA app.
No one is making people use Windows, especially now that you can do most things on Linux, in some ways arguably better.
I just don't understand constant complaining these days, you don't like it, don't buy it, don't use it....

Can you make a video about server PSU. Why and how they are smaller than desktop PSUs. What are the different connectors and how are they different. Also about new standards coming to PSU(like 12V connectors or any new ones about to come).

Now that graphics cards have ridiculous prices and almost nobody can afford one share some wisdom to the poor children and make a video about getting a mxm to pci-e x16 adpter like this one
And add a used/sourced from an other laptop (or buying a laptop extracting the GPU selling the laptop or "returning it" as doa 😛 ) mxm GPU to play your games!

Voy got a reaction from the gamer that is bad in Remote Windows Deployment
Hello all,
I am looking for options for Remote Windows Deployment
Normally we use WDS in the office and it works fine but as we are all working remotely now reinstalling windows on computer became a struggle.
I can't find any solution that would pull image from our server or from cloud and reinstall it on users device.
Any ideas?

Yeah that makes sense. Just hoped there is some tool we could use to do that.
Thank you for your help!

So... it was me being stupid....
I actually read the Manual... dual channel configuration should go into A2 B2 slots.
All working fine now.
