  1. hey all I have an idea that might be appealing to other people as well. I am referring to the DPI or PPI concept for monitors. I know it's a pretty straightforward concept, however... if a monitor like philips 49" ultra wide with 5120*1440 = 7.37MP gets a 108.54 PPI, how come the 43" model with a 4K resolution (3840*2160 = 8.29MP) gets a rating of only 102.46 PPI? shouldnt more overall pixels (8.29 vs 7.37) on a smaller sized monitor (43" vs 49") give a more dense ppi ? well apparently not... Y is that?
  2. thanks for answering man i am working with 2 trix card at the moment. i bought 3 of them at first. my problem was, that when i tried adding the 3rd card between the two that are currently installed, its fans couldnt spin properly because they got stock on the backside of the card below it, and its own backside got in the way of the fans of the card above it... so i was wondering, will i encounter same problems with gigabyte windforce cards, or, maybe they were engineered a little better, and will work fine... (i m running eyefinity with 3X30'' monitors at total resolution of 7680X1600, so i could use the extra the power...)
  3. hey guys did any of you tried crossfire r9 290 windforce cards 3-way? i m not talking about compatibility (yet), or heat-problems (yet...), but just - is it possible, considering that 3-way crossfire will make them sit pretty close together... i just wanted to make sure, since they will be placed next to one-another, are they thin enough to work properly without back-plate-screws getting in the way of the other ones fans, and if so, will the fans be able to provide sufficient cooling, although 2 of the cards fans will be right against the back-plate of the next card. unfortunately, i'm asking cause i already made that mistake with sapphire trix cards, that gave misleading (lets call it - "misunderstood by me") specs on their website, and do not work at 3 way crossfire with my board (asus x79 deluxe), cause the fans are prevented from spinning properly. (not easy being stupid... i had to return 1 of them, and now i m cross-firing just two of them, since they r apart. however, i would like to go back to my original plan of going 3-way, so... here we are... can it be done with other than the reference-95-degrees-ear-puncturing-room-temperature-rising cards?
