Personally, I think the warranty is fine, and I'm sure if something happened that was borderline-if I asked them nicely I know they'd take care of it, as long as I haven't been intentionally misusing it. Say, loading it with 200lbs (91kg if you care) of bricks and complaining because a sharp brick corner cut into the fabric-that's just unreasonable.

My only issue with the warranty, and it doesn't matter in the slightest other than the way it's worded, "Damage caused by rips, cuts, or tears;". Rips, cuts, and tears aren't CAUSING damage, they ARE damage. And frankly, the preceding sentence should cover that, or be reworded to say "damage caused by misuse, abuse, or by accident or negligence, including rips, cuts, or tears". And US English anyway, wouldn't say "damages", just "damage", for what it's worth.

I missed the drama, and when I found out about the T-shirt I actually thought it was self deprecating. Whatever, it's not a big deal to me, but people taking things personally or feeling that a personal concern is being laughed at does require some thoughtfulness with a response.

Our internal policies haven't changed at all.

As long as you're not trying to scam us we stand behind the product 100% and want to make sure you're happy.

Hopefully having this very boring document created and rubber-stamped by our overpriced law firm will allow us to put all of this behind us and keep doing things exactly the way we were already doing them.

I probably over-thought this whole thing.

Makes sense. I wanted the Xe graphics and there's not a lot to choose from. Plus I get a nice discount from Dell, which makes it cheaper.

If you still wnt itx, Id probalby get a non t sku, use the stock cooler. Probalby get a 16gb optane m.2(faster + cheaper + probably more reliable).

Also just saying, if you already have a server, you can run the vpn on that for much more speed.

I just read the rma and warranty support from deepcool, nothing is stated about the sticker over the cap that was torn, the only thing that needs to be intact is the indicator label and that is still completely fine down at the bottom of my rad. I watched every single review on the cooler and none of them had that sticker I had at the top of my cooler, so most likely that sticker was either misplaced onto it or has no significance to the North American markets as Canada and the US have very pro consumer laws.

I'd get a O11 dynamic, or the XL version, or maybe a Thermaltake Core P90, or even a test bench build, with a custom loop and a little bit of RGB. Visually interesting, not something most people see every day.

Updating again in an effort to catch up on the stuff I've done while incommunicado! Today's subject: Mounting hardware!

So the thing about building a PC in a weird object, as many of you will attest to, is that there are no ready-made brackets for the stuff you're doing. For the Falcon, I needed a power supply bracket and a GPU bracket. I had a couple pieces of the aluminum robotics structural parts left over so I started with those. When those mostly didn't work, I turned  to hacking up an old steel PC case and bending it to both my will and the shapes I needed. First let's check out the GPU bracket:

Fancy-dancy, am I right? The hole in the steel piece to the left of the support strut actually lines up with a screw hole under one of the GPU's HDMI ports and the cutout to the right is for the DVI port, which sticks out and is not on my "to use" list. I can also use the screw hole next to the DVI port for a second point of contact with the bracket. If you look closely at the picture, you'll see that inside the Falcon there's a ledgethat juts out under where the engines are located on the outside. This forms the sunken area surrounding the gaming table when the toy is, you know, not acting as a PC case... which is really like 99 percent of the time with these things. For me though, that shelf represents a handy-dandy resting place for the top edge of the GPU. You'll see what I mean in the next picture.

Also in the next picture, you'll see my PSU mounting bracket, which is just... janky AF. It's made of thin steel and it's the right shape, but it lacks a lot in the "professional grade" department. Here's what I mean:

There the sucker is, crammed riiiight up against the bottom of the case. If you can believe it, the PSU will fit right in there and the power cable will trail out of the case through the support leg to the lower left of the pic. One bummer is that the PSU will partially block the "rear" case fan in the cockpit. There's still clearance above and below it, but it's not amazingly optimized. The little fan on the PSU will ideally also help push hot air out of the case toward the two cutouts to the right of this picture. Also, there's the GPU, held between the legs of the metal skeleton and its face-rest. Don't worry, it has air down there.

Also, for you detail oriented folks out there: yep, that top pic is from later in the design process than the bottom one. You can see that I've added the intake fan in it and that the bottom one was taken before I knew I needed a cutout for the GPU. More details on the reasoning behind that in the future.

    Have a good day, all!

Edit: Further fun fact: I added a tiny bit of steel to the GPU bracket so that the final magnet of the lighting strip could have a place to adhere to. Too detailed? Maybe, yeah.

Hey every one, I tried myself in bending borosilicate glass tubes for my loop. As you see some kinking is kind of unavoidable. I tried my best with blowing into the glass tube to avoid any further kinking. This can cause holes in the tube if done wrong. (see pictures below)

This should not yet be a tutorial or anything how I exactly did it. I just did not have time jet to do a document or edit a video for that. Maybe I have time in about two weeks. Just some impressions I want to share and see what you think and if there any interest. Please, be nice was hard work and not easy. I did every run in PETG first and every run I tried several times with the glass tubing.

Ah yes the reason why I did it: I liked to have as little of any kind of plastic in my loop. Also there should be no staining of the tubes now.

Hey again all! I got some more time to work on the Falcon today, so I thought I'd share my progress. With the help of a new coping saw, my keyhole saw, and my dremel, I removed the old landing gear struts and replaced them with the aluminum frame. It's not all perfect, but I do like the result.

Every chip is a little different, every build is different.  People with lower temps may simply have a better airflow solution or a case that allows different air flow.  Or even different thermal paste, though that's not going to have a huge impact, based on modern thermal paste's performance.

I would also suggest comparing temperature deltas, not absolute temperature.  When you just look at the peak temperature without knowing ambient, it's not comparing apples to apples.

A  few last minute touches before this goes to HIN's this weekend.   Ive added a good old base to the case, this should help to protect the bottom blades from damage while on show.         kinda gives it a weird hover boat effect.... but works well as a protective base.       You prolly already spotted the new light blade on the bottom right      So on it goes and we start the RGB flood with some pretty pink          a mix of pink and white            Yellow, Blue, Green !  Got all your favourite colours                   Perhaps my fav colour scheme for the day Blue and White,  Just looks clean together.                   That's prolly it pic wise for now, till it comes back from hin..  I'll post some Cool new vids up soon with the tweaked Audio mode

Just the weight.  I've seen those arms with monitors too large/heavy and people put clamps and stuff on them to try to keep them in place.

Yes!!!  Looks like the original DX11 install was corrupted, things are running great now.  I cranked up the GPU a bit (just dragged the power/temp targets to the right), max temp came up to 83C but didn't lose stability.

The other possible explanation is leftover AMD AI files/registry entries weren't cleared and were interfering with things.

Ok, well this build is done, and unless anyone pipes in with any questions this will be the last entry.  I'm not trying to bump my thread unnecessarily!

Maybe I'll do a badass TR build next.  Or maybe 10th gen Intel will be more exciting.....but I doubt it.  I think AMD is gonna be kicking Intel's butt next year.   My deepest desire is that they make a high end GPU (because 2080 TI is a total ripoff IMO) but I know that's a long shot.

I also want to build a consumer level file server.  But that's not very exciting and kind of pointless until I install cat 6 throughout the house.

My other rig does fine in the NZXT H200, and it only has 3 120mm intake fans, the only real difference in that system is it's an Intel build.

This has 2 120mm in push/pull into the case, plus 2 140mm also in intake.

I stopped Heaven, restarted it and it was giving me horrible framerates, did a reboot, and now it's back to 195+ fps, max temps are now 76C.

I clearly have some issues here, DX11 refusing to work, inconsistent performance.  And no, I don't have a blower card to try.  I may swap 1080 ti's with my other rig and see what happens.
