BLLDoesTech reacted to reniat in Need help with a Python script
I've never used discord.py, but it seems like the simplest way to do this is pick a command word (like "!random") and then in your on_message function for the bot, check to see if the message is that command and if so, do a message.channel.send(<random image url here>).
If you are not sure where on_message comes into it, there is a nice example here https://github.com/Rapptz/discord.py in the readme
as for getting the random numbers, if you are stuck on that, this is pretty much the most basic approach:

BLLDoesTech reacted to rcmaehl in It's Rewind Time - Scientists revert three qubits 'fractions of a second back in time'
Source:
Phys.org (Best read)

Summary:
Scientists successfully returned three qubits to their original state . Results show naturally occurring reversal and reversal of atoms or electrons is exponentially unlikely

Quotes/Excerpts:
My Thoughts:
Allons-y, it will definitely be interesting to see additional research into this. Is it only certain quantum information such as spin, or is it all of it? Is it actually making them simple from their complex state and is this something that will naturally occur in some sort of Big Crunch? Will this be another Faster Than Light Neutrino incident? Regardless, it's definitely interesting to see considering many scientific laws are time-agnostic.

BLLDoesTech reacted to wasab in Need help with a Python script
You need to first choose a GUI framework.
You are not going to display an image with a command line interface are you?
Next you need to use the urllib library to pull these images from the URL.
Finally just use some random generator to randomly pick from the list.

It's not.
I'm keeping all the stuff in the can, including fans. I have with the previous one as well.
That one looks really old too, the lighting isn't even led.

BLLDoesTech reacted to AT0MAC in December Project - unnamed
I know its been over 1 month since last post and the thread have been dead silent, I have been really busy with "real life" and ideas evolve over time and changes the original plan a little
Oh, and I've started playing a "new" game - Sea of Thieves, that takes a load of time too
So, what I wanted to update you on is, I have painted the new toppanel like 7 times, 2 black layers and 5 blue, with a little sanding in between for total smoothness, takes a really really long time too
My radiator is only 240mm for the CPU, so looked bonkers having a 3x120 space in the top panel on the 800D cabinet, im sorting it by remaking the top, it will be all worth it, just wait.
Sneak peak:
I'll Be Back.....

BLLDoesTech reacted to minibois in Need help with a Python script
I don't know Python, but I am just thinking the easiest way to achieve this is simply to make a list full of URL, roll a random number and then just print out the image with said URL.

BLLDoesTech reacted to Yewrface in HD 6970 Build? Budget Gaming Builds
This is a highly effective budget build believe it or not. $179 completed w/ great value.
I thought that title would grab your attention! Yea its not some sort of UFO extream sapphire!! It is most definitely NOT bad cranked up and..well.. never approved on userbenchmark lol
..but its a daily driver I built out of love for the channel and wanted to try to make the most inexpensive and decent machines I can build with little to no over head. I have a great personal RIG that is ever evolving 12tb storage coming soon : SEE BELOW. This is for the person who just wants to game. Maybe not as much dough to spend so to speak!
MoBo: MSI h61m-p31/w8
O/c capable refurb 1155 $30
CPU: I5 2400 3.1ghz o/c 3.5 ghz because of the value even though I realize a 2500 would have made a big diffrence for a small price $22
Heatsink: Cooler Master i50 standered for that HUGE o/c LOL $12
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 6970 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E 2.0 x 16 Video Card o/c with afterburner max core and memory $30 note: someone actually sawed off the shield thus the bread ties for dramatic effect screwed in snug. Its solid I swear! It actually performed in the top 95th on UB for its class.
RAM: 2 ×4gb ripjaws X 1600 MHz more than the max 1333 but oh well $20
SSD: kingston 120gb 300v BOOT $15
HDD: 750gb barracuda STORAGE $FREE pulled from duo case
Case: Dell Studio Case from a Duo $FREE
Including Sata cables 2× optical drives only 1 was installed because I mean who uses optical drives.. The second bay was perfect for my rats nest wire managements.
this is where it got hairy I had it all planned super cheap it benchmarks an impressive 11k in Skydiver and 4k in FireStrike not bad for the gpu's age. However the powersupply I believe if a gpu has a certain plug you need to use it so I had to fork up for the 14 pin
powersupply: kentek 1050w because of the 8 pin + 6 pin PCIe that the sapphire calls for $50 "and obviously Im going to upgrade it later so better investment for me personally."
total build=$179
Enjoy! It IS super responsive! It runs most games in med to high even epic on occasion. For a reference it auto loaded High presets in fortnite. GTA V, WarHAMMER, overgrowth, apex, SoT ... every steam game I ran looked great and very playable light cpu load 3%-5% sits around 40ish c° on regular maxes at around 65 c° with a gaming load. Maybe 30%-50% Im not mad! It was fun. Thinking about a gpu and cpu upgrade tell me what ya think?
My Main Rig
I have a great PC STATUS overall UserB 90th percentile.
The main RIG SPECS:
Maximus hero VI mobo
i5 4670k over clocked to 4.2 ghz I have 6 corsair fans
hyper 612 v.2 cooler master heatsink
1660 XC GPU Nuclear Sub on UB.
16 gb Trident X
corsair air 540 cube case 1000w MOD psu
Kingston 120gb 400uv
Firecuda SSHD 1tb
BLUE HDD 1tb
this was just for fun THANKS! Forreal linus TT really inspired this build for me.
Everyone should be able to afford to game.
