  1. Is it possible to build a PC with all the same brand of parts? (Minus Processor) If not how close could you get?
  2. Patriot Memory VIPER 4 Series This is what I got with my Ryzen, works great
  3. Wait... Mobo box PC I approve of this amazing idea
  4. I don't really care about looks (This is going in a sleeper PC build) and I think I am going to either go with the Geil RAM or T-Force Vulcan
  5. I am getting a Ryzen build soon and I need some cheap DDR4 RAM and saw this: GeIL EVO SPEAR AMD Edition Is this RAM any good? Also saw another series called potenza by the same company
  6. for GPU are you going straight to the mobo or using an extender? Also: GT 1030
  7. I've never had problems with Newegg, always great service
  8. The case is pretty big, but because of height, the mobo had to be small. (Now eventually I will do an NES build, and that will definitely be ITX)
  9. Ok, so I am doing a sleeper PC with an HP Vectra (I am starting beginning of next year, check out build logs around that time to see progress) I have power supply, SSD, etc. Just want to make sure this setup works: CPU" Ryzen 5 2600 GPU: Asus RX 580 Mobo: Asus ROG Strix B450-I RAM: Hyper X DDR4 8GB Thanks
  10. Some Metallica More specifically, For Whom the Bell Tolls
  11. If your power supply has floppy-drive power, that to me is the easiest way to power stuff
  12. Very nice, make sure you reuse the original power button and figure out a way to power the lights, makes the build a whole lot cooler
  13. @Ross Siggers If you're good at 3D design you can print a shell that looks original but will be bigger and fit your needs Also does mini STX even support external GPU?
  14. https://www.techjunkie.com/best-wireless-monitors/ read up on this, really informative
  15. lol I found what I used, It was thermal plaster from china, maybe I was out of paste and used that ?
  16. I can't remember what I used, I think it was paste... but who knows could have been some kind of plaster
  17. Well... I got it, took a chisel and hammer to it and it popped of, minor damage to the heatsink
  18. I tried both these along with alcohol to no luck The dental wire could not get between the CPU and heat-sink
  19. I was doing that before but the silicon started to come away from the metal part
  20. So... My CPU is stuck to the heat-sink I am trying isopropyl alcohol right now, anything else I should try if that doesn't work
  21. Very nice, taking an office PC is the way to go if you have a small budget And better cable management than mine
