  1. Not without a psu tester and trying to test a psu without the right equipment or opening it can be very dangerous since capacitors can hold enough power to kill you for week, months or even years.
  2. The psu can turn on and work and still be partially dead meaning it prevents posting because it doesn't supply ENOUGH power. Do you get a post yet and have you done all the steps in the guide above? If you've done all of that the next step is to try a different psu or mobo, unless that happens then we won't know.
  3. What's the cooler? As long as its a compatible cooler with the socket and performs well enough to cool the cpu then yes.
  4. You shouldn't go less than 32GB on new builds, games are starting to use more of it nowadays.

  6. Didn't see it mentioned but did you try resetting bios by removing the battery for a few minutes? I've had a motherboard that did that. Could be a faulty psu though. I've never heard of evolveo, sounds like a sketchy psu.
  7. Sounds like a power supply issue. What unit is it? What are your specs?
  8. I would but motherboards are like £80-120 for am4 versus a psu that's like £40 for a bronze unit that isn't great but won't kill my pc. I don't suspect motherboard because everything is working on the board, it just isn't posting which makes me think the psu tripped or just died and isn't supplying enough power also because I'd rather plug a psu in rather than removing everything again and changing mobos but if its not the psu then mobo is next on my list when I get money. One thing to note when I got this psu 4 years ago I came to me with the casing half broken after shipping damage and I repaired it to the best of my abilities and it has worked since.
  9. Yep, lights fans and everything turns on but no visuals except my monitor turning on saying no connection. So it does boot just doesn't post into bios. Whicj is usually a psu or gpu issue and since my gpu powers on, it's either a psu or possibly mobo but that's becoming expensive now for an am4 board.
  10. I'd be amazed if they were that upset about an anti static bag. As long as you shipped it securely to them then they will look at it and assess it for warranty replacement.
  11. UPDATE: Yep, tested my gpu in my gfs pc and it goes on no problem even with a 450w on a 6600xt... So definitely the psu just slowly dying. Credits to it though it didn't kill my pc and just slowly went out with a bang I guess. Doesn't smell or anything but if the gpu posts on another pc and the mobo turns everything on then it must be the psu I think. Got a gigabyte p650b coming, a very decent psu. Nothing amazing but a russian psu testing website gave it alot of pros when looking at it and one of the moderators at Tom's hardware forum thinks it's an ok unit. Atleast this will diagnose the issue.
  12. My guess is a psu issue, it's four years old (antec neoeco gold) and the problems first appeared when I turned my pc off at the socket for cleaning. There was identical issues that only got fixed by accident when I flicked the power switch on and off fast. There was no artifacting or visual issues leading up to this and i had an issue where my pc would just lose stability and gain it again while doing normal desktop tasks randomly. That was a week ago and today I was playing my privateers copy of starfield and it just went black while I was getting water. I tried reseatijg gpu, adjusting power cables, reseatijg cpu, reseating ram and resetting bios. Nothing except the monitor turning on and fan spin. My girlfriends pc did something when her psu died where it would just not turn on sometimes but had fans spin and thats what leads me to that conclusion. My gpu is a year old refurbished gpu amd my Cpu is 8 months old and I ran time spy and stress tested everything last week with fur mark and cinebench and they performed fine. Thoughts?
  13. Ive seen something similar before where it froze the bottom half of the screen and not sure if it will work for you but my friend reinstalled windows using a USB drive and it fixed it.
  14. Its nice, honestly recommend going ddr5 though since the price difference is negligible at that price point and would definitely be worth the invested because you will have to do it sooner or later. Aios quite pricey but i assume moneys not an issue?
  15. Ok, yeah it's 25-31w while gaming which is only 10% utilisation but it's 70-80c... Seems like alot of power for 10%. How much should I undervolt it by?
  16. It's locked so it doesn't give above 95c, I am just more curious if I should be concerned or not.
  17. No, I forgot to install new chipset drivers for windows 11. So I am gonna try that now but it's definitely hot since I got it. The old thermal paste was basically dried up and needed repasted but I left a healthy amount on top like 2 pea sized amounts of thermal paste on top but more spread out. Thinking it might be my fan curve for my Cpu because I never see my Cpu ramp up.
  18. I am still using the stock cooler and just repasted the cpu with a moderate amount of paste. My room tempreutre is unknown but it's definitely hot in here. It idles 35-40c. It runs about 80-90c in games like Battlefield v and battlefront 2 then 70-85c in bannerlord. Cpu bounces around 90-95c in a full load like cinebench. I've had not crashes. I've got two intake fans and an exhaust. Considering buying a cheap IDcooler or a themralright assassin both slim coolers costs around £15 but are gonna be better than stock.
  19. It's fine enough now that I've gotten use to it but I am never buying anything other than IPS or OLED in the future. Its really bad on some websites.
  20. I've kinda fixed it by turning my response time to Ultra Fast, it just does it now when I have fast textures on and the black leaves. Everything else is fine.
  21. It's 1ms response time. If it's just the panel then why doesn't it do it in Battlefield 5, insurgency, csgo, pokemon or modded skyrim? There's nothing particularly different in them, it only does it on Minecraft and I play games with dark pixel transitions like pokemon. Has never down it. There's no overdrive setting from what I can see in settings on the monitor. It looks nothing like that, it looks like the black pixels in the blue sky are being dragged out and warped across the screen.
  22. All the black pixels on the trees and dark spots on blocks are ghosting for some reason. It only does it in Minecraft. I understand that ghosting is gonna happen but I means like it drags across the screen when with small movements like trails. I have a ViewSonic 165hz monitor and turned response rate to standard and turned on 165hz in Windows on. I also have freesync premium on. It's annoying and hasn't meaningfully done it in any other game. ViewSonic VX2468-PC-MHD 24-inch 1080p 165hz 1ms Any ideas?
  23. Bios is new, my chioset drivers are new and I upgraded cpu two months ago, my windows is updated, my nvme firmware I haven't checked and my ram had been in my pc for years but I'll try reseting it and my gpu since it happened ever since I removed my side panel.
