 Igor's lab published an interesting article that discusses and explains the causes of the RTX 3000 availability disaster that most of us suffer currently from. While mining is apparently part of the issue (surprisingly mostly for the lower-end GPUs), the devil also lays in other details such as the PWM controllers that are apparently very hard to get right now.

 In generally like the insights that Igor regularly provides but I have been especially starving for these infos. It bugged me so hard to be left in the unknown what exactly is the problem behind producing more cards. While we all knew that the GPU itself is a problem, there is apparently much more to it.

Nope, its not a joke, some genius/nut job modder has created a custom chip for the Super Nintendo to support ray tracing.

Bubbles2.mp4 Using some pretty damn impressive electrical engineering and an FPGA they were able to create a custom chip they call the SuperRT to handle ray tracing with up to 4 rays per screen pixel. I'm genuinely amazed at what some people do in their spare time. While GPUs are becoming more powerful every year to cope with new features like RT someone decide to build it into a 30 year old console.

Summary
It seems some consumers have had enough with scalpers on eBay lately, with reports of people heavily overbidding on 3080 listings and not paying to cost scalpers eBay fees and other inconveniences.

Another case of badly secured IOT device. At least this time no one (that reported the incident to Motherboard) was caught wearing it.
My reaction would be this meme, when I know that IOT is the future we're heading to, and it's not very bright as of late.

Sorry for the confusion, it's just that I crossed path with someone in Final Fantasy online (FFXIV), I use the same username there so they asked me if I was the mod from the LTT forum ... and I happened to be in my Warrior class ; a tank class in that MMO
