  1. Hi soon I'll be building ymy first desktop system which will be used for primarily gaming but also vms and a bit of blender , my main dilemma is my processor choice , as far as I understand the 8600k beats the 2600X in most games today due to the fact that games don't scale well across multiple cores , however I was told that SMT can avoid stutters , I'd like to mostly play AAA games alongside AI and cpu heavy games (civilisation and paradox games) , for now my cpu will be paired with an rx580 8gigabytes and I'll use it to play at 1080p60 high-ultra but in the near future somewhere in 2019 I will likely upgrade to a new card possibly Turing or navI based and might upgrade my display as well to 1440p60 or possibly 1440p144 , which cpu should I buy?I intend to keep my cpu around for 2-3 years .
  2. As it was said I generally will do these things independently of each other , I also was told that SMT/HT can reduce tearing during gaming is this true?
  3. Hi LTT community , after about 8 months of watching Linus Te h tips , I have decided to finally step up my game and joins the glorious pc master race , I'd like to build my first ever gaming pc this month and I'd like to ask for any tips or tricks for well building , I don't really have a list only a rough outline so maybe I could ask about some recommended lists etc , I have a budget of about 1000-1200 euro for the whole build and in m8d-late 2019 I might have another 500-600 euro more for say a new card , so for now I've considered a ryzen 5 2600 (x)and a gtx 1060/70 or maybe an rx580 since for the forseable future I'll be stuck at 1080p60 , my main use case will be gaming alongside blender , some light virtualisation and emulators , I'm located in Austria if that'll help as well , anyways any and all advice is highly appreciated (please excuse my poor English , it's not my first language.)
