Niami got a reaction from Poinkachu in Ryzen 5 5600 not boosting during full load
Solved: I set all PBO settings back to "auto" and set a voltage offset of +0.05V, idk if it is needed but that is to validate another time.
TLDR: Don't touch settings you dont understand 😄

Niami reacted to Kisai in Cloning a MBR ssd to GPT ssd
You can do it either way, just keep in mind that you have to be able to boot the drive.
I've not run into any failure conditions with mbr2gpt yet. The main obstacle here would be getting the UEFI bios to boot the right drive, which the easiest way is to remove the previous drive for one boot cycle, and point the UEFI to the drive itself, not the boot manager, once it boots correctly once, put the other drive back in.

Are you missing a CPU? Assuming you are going AMD by the motherboard. Ahh I see it is at the bottom as a custom piece.
I think the b550 motherboards and 3100 and 3300 AMD CPUs are about to hit the market, which are £99 and £120 respectively, might be worth looking at them.

Niami got a reaction from Mister Woof in Every tool shows memory as half the speed
It's already overclocked from 2666 . I was sure that one of the tools I mentioned showed the doubled speed at sometime while I was overclocking and was a bit confused when I was looking through HWInfo recently.

now that you've verified its running at the advertised speeds, time to overclock!

Niami reacted to minibois in Every tool shows memory as half the speed
If I remember correctly, Windows Task Manager used to show the MT/s as Mhz (so 'incorrect' 3000Mhz instead of 1500Mhz). But I am not sure about that.
Although Windows has been known to show incorrect units of measurement (*cough* GB vs GiB *cough*)

Niami reacted to Turtle Rig in Can't install Geforce Experience
Yes some peeps have issues. Just weird stupid issues as I described above. I can tell you 1809 3rd time around release was solid but had some issue for a small group of people so when they released 1903 they took their time and it got delayed I think by couple months if Im not mistaken. 1903 is really solid. Personally with my config that is very old I have not a single bug or some crap not working properly on 1903. I couldn't be happier. 1809 was a disaster tho for a large portion of people it would also delete your files pics whatever. As I said when I installed it initially next thing I know Im seeing bunch of pictures I had deleted long time ago they came back; but note this is on 1809. I would advise you to grab 1903 but before you begin the update run DDU again "sorry no choice" and clean up everything then install 1903 , then after that install the latest nVidia drivers that just came out.

Oh nevermind, sorry, I tried installing both driver and experience at once, which errored, just now I finished the driver standalone and it worked.
