  1. Ah a question about that. This is for my desktop pc, is there anything odd about using using a NAS HDD for it? Like added noise, slower read/write speed?
  2. I have no idea why he uses them either! I thought maybe they had some kind of qualities that worked for him. No idea.
  3. Hey y'all, looking to replace my old desktop HDD. Hoping for a 2tb or better, looking to spend around 100 bucks. Reading reviews makes my indecision even worse as I read the negative ones. So basically I run Windows off my SSD, while I use my HDD for storage, and video games. I don't really stream or use it for anything demanding I don't think. A friend recommended WD purple (surveillance) but I read in a comment it can run warm(?), and it does get warm in my room in the summer already. That moved me over to the red series but I'm not sure if that's good for my purposes. Any recommendations or knowledge, guys? 4. Oh silly me, I should've added that to my main post. I'll edit that. Motherboard MSI A58M-E33 (MS-7721) (P0) Cooling Arctic Freezer A11 Y'know now that you mention it, the motherboard cable area does look a bit lower than the CPU cooler. Maybe it's not an issue after all. Edit: Thanks for the perspective and info on the unsafeness of using these things on my power supply. I was worried about exactly that. I will be sticking with the cables as they are.
  5. Is there something else that doesn't light up that you could recommend or are basic ones safe? I'm just a little anxious because I read someone had their melt the other day.
  6. Ah thanks for the reply but I'm not interested in lights, just something basic that won't melt down.
  7. Motherboard MSI A58M-E33 (MS-7721) (P0) Cooling Arctic Freezer A11 Power Supply Bitfenix Whisper M 450w Ah hello, thanks to quite a lot of help from members here I was able to decide on a power supply which I received today. Turns out the motherboard plug has a bit of a boot to it and I think it may inhibit my CPU fan as it will stand in the way. I was wonder if these extension cables are safe to use to get around this and if there were any recommendations or whatnot.
  8. Fallout New Vegas, I generally do a full playthrough annually. Ah I haven't played it but I vaguely remember when that came out.
  9. Ah, that's fine, to each their own. I've personally sworn off tequila because I always end up going on adventures I regret later. Something wild about that cactus beverage. Rum is something I should probably taste more of.
  10. You're probably already aware of this but Hi Point pistols can be lightly modified to accept those Redball magazines by shaving off the extra grooves on the magwell.
  11. Well on that note, Jerma985. Been a year since the last doctor's appointment. That guy is FUCKED.
  12. I can't believe you've done this.
  13. The first time I tried whiskey I thought it was awful and it was way too strong for me. I toyed around with vodka mix drinks for awhile until I realized the sweetness was grossing me out. I'm very fond of whiskey now so it's a toss up between acquired taste and personal preferences. Maybe some day you will grow to like it or maybe it was never meant to be.
  14. I'm not very experienced with different brands but I tend to like whiskey with a little bite and smokey flavors. Bulleit and Jack Daniels are my go-to picks for this. I don't like fruity or soft whiskeys such as Southern Comfort, which tastes like I'm drinking a wine cooler or something. I always add a little ice to my glass. I've seen a lot of opinions going both ways on the subject as in if it unlocks new flavors or dilutes it. I dunno.
