  3. Well, considering the few times I have decided to post here I've gotten no help and ran into multiple people like you, I'm quickly deciding this "community" isn't all that great and quiet frankly, I think I want no part of it. People are friendlier and more helpful at NeoGAF and that's rather sad if you think about it...
  4. Well good for you, I bow before your obviously superior e-peen  Do you want to know what doesn't show up in a forum wide search for "Windows 9", "Windows 9 8K", or "Windows 9 DPI"??? Either of the 2 threads you linked. Want to know what does show up for all of them? Mine.
  5. If other people refuse to tag their posts properly thus making them not appear correctly in search results, that's not my problem.
  6. Using the magic powers of switching numbers around you get 08/15/14, also known as August 15th 2014. That site is a UK based site though so I wouldn't read much into that date meaning anything for a US launch.
  7. Virtual Reality is what I am most interested in
  8. They were on surger protectors. Surge protectors don't do anything against sudden power loss, just a surge of power.
  9. I tell ya, just blown away by the response and help I've recieved here. Here's a video of the issue no one will watch.
  10. (This is a repost of an old thread of mine from over on [H]ard|OCP, if this looks familiar to anyone. I've updated it with new and relevant info) The above is my original post, I didn't find much help. What happens with that monitor now isn't the same as when I made that post (Nov 2012) but it still has the same issues and if you give it enough time it will eventually work fine. Since I have no use for that monitor I did tear it apart and saw nothing wrong (to my untrained eye), nothing was melted, no blown electronics, nothing looked scorched or burnt. If I could fx it I'd give it to my parents but it's not a huge deal. I since replaced that monitor with another VW266H and all was well until one night there was a lightning strike near by and that seems to have taken out 2 of my remaining 3 VW266H monitors. So I've had a total of 4 of these things, 3 are now having issues after power outage/surge. One of my monitors whill power on to a blank gray screen, I get no OSD, menu, etc. However, I just have to turn it off and then back on once (some times a few times, most I've had is 3 power cycles) and it starts working right away. The 2nd monitor does something similar to the one I posted about way back when (and the video is of) but it starts with the rolling black/multicolored lines at the top of the screen. I dont' have to wait forever on this one though, normally 2 or so power cycles brings this one right back in as well. I'll try to get a video of this if I can. Anyone have any Idea what could be going on and if it is easily fixable? I'd like to keep these 2 from getting worse if I can. One I plan to replace as soon as the new 1440p G-Sync panel from ASUS is out but I'd still like to fix the problems if possible. The really old monitor I don't know what to do with. If anyone wants it to see if they can fix it I might just give it away. The panel could be good for all I know. For those saying I am an idiot, I agree. I've since bought a battery backup/better surge protector.
