Anyone who is Dutch, I finally found a power bar that works.
You can find it at the Hornbach specifically this product.

Thanks! Just tried this and it fixed the problem! I slowly changed all my bios setting back and found the XMP was causing it. No idea why, but I guess I'll just be leaving that off for now.

You can try turning XMP back on and downclocking the RAM to 3000 or 2933. Having the RAM on stock JEDEC 2133/2400 limits your Ryzen a lot.

Dirty little secret about Apevia (and other bargain brand arson box manufacturers): whatever they sent out to get that 80+ Gold and whatever they sent out to reviewers to get whatever positive ratings they have is not what's in the unit that appears on your doorstep. Don't buy a PSU that will put your whole damned system at risk in order to save $3.00.

    What website
What did you try to fix it
What do you expect to happen
    etc

    Do the work.

Nothing much besides replacing it. There might be a more silent model.
You could try and dampen the sound but not all drive mount let you dampen the vibrations.
Or you could go into power settings in your OS and have it turn of the drive after certain period.
But in use all of them make sound. While some are more silent then others, mechanical harddrives have a motor in them to rotate the platters, so they will always make some sound.

HanZie82 reacted to TrollingJoker in What power bars have keyshaped holes in Europe
Honestly I've tried that but I've always only ever received ones without these holes. The only holes on the back were the ones where the bar screws are placed in.
Maybe I'll give Amazon France or Italy a go.

    As an example
See how the back side of this power bar has screw holes but also water drop/keyhole shaped holes? That's so you can press a screw in the opening and slide it into the smaller opening so your bar can hang off the wall without having the screw the bar into the wall itself. The example used here is of a non EU power bar btw.

Hope that clarifies it because I had a hard time understanding the MCM power bar keys at first.

From what I've seen with these types is that you permanently mount it to the wall instead of slide and latch style mounts.

obviously you shouldn't have issues with these specs and certainly not when chrome only uses 1gb or so... i suspect some bloatware running in background etc.

also you could just use Firefox but i doubt that'll help as ram usage is very similar and available extensions largely the same afaik.

    Hey there,

We're currently talking with Singularity Computers to sponsor some of our channels. You may have seen them featured before on LTT a few years ago:
    A See-Through PC Case??
The Easiest Water Cooled PC (NOT Easy)

They want to promote their test bench, upcoming rack mount case, and PWM fan hubs (node & mega-node).

We wanted to see if anyone in our community had experience with Singularity and any of their products.

    Thanks!

*Please note that our team researches and tests around vetting sponsor products and services. However, we've found that soliciting feedback from the community can sometimes add something new to the conversation that we weren't aware of*

There is only 1 (maybe 2 or 3) different versions of a PS5.
There are technically and factually MILLIONS of variations for PC. So there's that too.

I question your ability to do that without outright destroying the fans in the process.

    no, those are power.

the Edge one is +12V the middle one is Ground.

They control both the fan spin AND RGB.

you got cheap fans, you can't do anything about the colors, sorry.

But, you can easily replace them cheaply:  Arctic P12 PWM PST Fans are about 25$ for a 5 pack of fans generally.

    Yup, @Eigenvektoris correct.
I did mean i have more hope for optimisation from indie developers. (if they are in teams or not).

The big boys, that do it just for the profit or to keep their board (of directors) satisfied, do enough to make it work on most systems that are currently in use.
Simple cost - benefit calculation (for some).
So no they dont do it like you said, but the big corpo's do manage to spend more on research for market demand (or just cheap out and use Steam survey thingy info). Then try and aim to satisfy that as that would result in the best financial gains.
But i tought this was obvious, i guess not. Sorry. 🙂

Oh and calm down, if i didnt get this 3060 for free, i'd still be rocking a 1060. And gaming on it too! 😛

I think you missed their point. A hobby developer who's in it for the love of gaming will spend the time optimizing their game. A big publisher will not, because they are in it for the love of money and any time spent on optimization reduces their bottom line. I'm sure a lot of developers would love to, but they simply aren't allowed to do so.

How do you define this average system? Does an i9 9900 still qualify as average? And how well should the game run on such a system, is 60 fps good enough? And at what resolution and settings should it be able to achieve this?

Don't get me wrong here, there are a ton of issues with a lot of games, but there are also unrealistic expectations on the other side when it comes to what type of fidelity a 5 year old system should be able to achieve or what counts as unoptimized.
