Love handing people a laptop with a lid latch, sitting back and watching them struggle. Wouldn't think it would be so hard to figure out.

If you want this, you will need to go to speciality shop.
And not be worried about price.

And since you want Kali pre-installed, i would just hire a IT-technician if i was you to do it for you and maintain it after setting it up.

Sorry, I should've been clearer. I'm not telling you to switch browsers.

I'm telling you to try using some other browser that can import settings from Brave as a lifeboat for all your old Brave profile stuff.

Copy your old Brave AppData folder onto your new profile, then launch the other browser instead of Brave. As long as the other browser is also a fresh install, it should prompt you to import settings from the other browsers you have installed.

If the other browser successfully imports all your old Brave files, close it. Launch Brave and let it factory reset itself or whatever it wants to do. Once Brave relaunches with a blank slate, import your settings back into it from the other browser.

Brave can tell when you pull a fast one with its files. I'm guessing other browsers might not notice.

This was not the point of using Firefox. Read it carefully. 😉
Maybe the last sentence that didnt show wasnt too obvious. Once imported into Firefox, export it back to Brave.

This can and DOES work, ive done it.
You just need to know how to go about it.
Googling howto do it per program basis would be smarter then just trying to copy over stuff, as that WILL BREAK THINGS!

    Like example for steam.
Install steam. Point it to install directory. (Make sure its EMPTY!) Then exit Steam. Then copy game files to the previously empty directory Restart steam It should find the installs, if not check game integrity. Success. Im pretty sure there is an option to do this for brave too.
Im guessing you copied over to many files. As you would need to refill its cache, copying that would corrupt the whole thing.

So instead of the shotgun approach, try to be more precise, and do apps 1 at a time, just to make sure its done correctly.

This is also exactly how phishing works btw.
Maybe make your thing not look like a phishing attempt by doing the least possible.
Only reason i think its not as bad, is because its a github link, but i'd advise to be HIGHLY sceptical before downloading.

Maybe explain something where it came from who made it how it works?

Even if buying one time application then there really are not many ways to go wrong with any of the listed Corsair pastes.
The difference in celsius between a very good and an average paste is perhaps ~3C at max.

And just in case you're thinking that "cleaning wipes" is some super fancy thing that can help you lots and you might need it.

    This works as well :

Not restricted to that brand, any alcohol swab that contains atleast 70%.

As well as Paper Towel + 70% or above Isopropyl Alcohol. The higher the IPA %, the faster it dries.

30 is all you need. 50 seems like advertising but it’s a bigger quantity, which is the biggest difference in my review. 70 is an intermediate volume and comes with applicators and cleaning wipes. Wouldn’t recommend 50 or 70 if you are doing less than five CPUs.

Thanks! Just tried this and it fixed the problem! I slowly changed all my bios setting back and found the XMP was causing it. No idea why, but I guess I'll just be leaving that off for now.

You can try turning XMP back on and downclocking the RAM to 3000 or 2933. Having the RAM on stock JEDEC 2133/2400 limits your Ryzen a lot.

Dirty little secret about Apevia (and other bargain brand arson box manufacturers): whatever they sent out to get that 80+ Gold and whatever they sent out to reviewers to get whatever positive ratings they have is not what's in the unit that appears on your doorstep. Don't buy a PSU that will put your whole damned system at risk in order to save $3.00.

Nothing much besides replacing it. There might be a more silent model.
You could try and dampen the sound but not all drive mount let you dampen the vibrations.
Or you could go into power settings in your OS and have it turn of the drive after certain period.
But in use all of them make sound. While some are more silent then others, mechanical harddrives have a motor in them to rotate the platters, so they will always make some sound.

HanZie82 reacted to TrollingJoker in What power bars have keyshaped holes in Europe
Honestly I've tried that but I've always only ever received ones without these holes. The only holes on the back were the ones where the bar screws are placed in.
Maybe I'll give Amazon France or Italy a go.

    As an example
See how the back side of this power bar has screw holes but also water drop/keyhole shaped holes? That's so you can press a screw in the opening and slide it into the smaller opening so your bar can hang off the wall without having the screw the bar into the wall itself. The example used here is of a non EU power bar btw.

Hope that clarifies it because I had a hard time understanding the MCM power bar keys at first.

From what I've seen with these types is that you permanently mount it to the wall instead of slide and latch style mounts.
