  1. Don't forget the handling fee from the customs office / post office. Royal Mail seems to be charging at least £8. Those snakes take €25 in my country on top of the taxes
  2. I've been feeling like this for the past few weeks or so, longing for the past. Or maybe I'm just depressed.
  3. I've been noticing just how much time I've been spending on it (~16 hrs a week), just added a 30-min time limit to it
  4. I remember how demonized it was more than 10 years ago See the infamous W3Fools website. Supposedly it has got better over the years, but MDN is just a much better resource to use if you're doing web stuff. I see that W3Schools has spread onto other languages, but there are still more well-suited resources out there.
  5. They seem to use regular SATA. I don't have any experience with iMacs, though, so I would suggest doing some more research.
  6. That iMac doesn't have the T2 chip, so I think it could be doable. You'll need to use some software to read the drive on a Windows machine. This one might work, read-only is free: https://www.diskinternals.com/linux-reader/ Though, if FileVault was enabled, it might complicate things.
  7. Yep, same thing here in Europe. Even after adjusting for currency + sales tax (VAT), there's still some markup we have to pay. But you also have to take into account that prices in the US almost never include the sales tax, but it's standard practice to include it in the displayed price in most of the rest of the world. Taxes, not just sales tax but also other taxes that go through the retailing process, tend to be higher here.
  8. I still wonder about the technical specifics of this "detection" by the public Wi-Fi. Even though Snapchat is not E2E, it should still be using HTTPS.
  9. I have a lot of memories with XP, going to the cybercafé to play all sorts of games that I was way too young for
  10. Have you tried using an API testing tool like Insomnia or Postman? Not sure if this is related, but the request handler isn't waiting for the pool.query call to finish (since the query function uses a callback). I recommend using mysql2 package instead, which allows you to use Promises. (Or use an ORM like Prisma or Sequelize, might be overkill)
  11. There are several links that point to `.bs_model` on the website: Looks like an issue by your WordPress theme provider: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/pages-created-with-bs_model-at-the-end-of-the-url/ Try updating your theme.
  12. The simple answer is that they've made an error while linking to the website.
  13. Remote Desktop that comes with Windows works pretty well.
