So, as it turns out, the Shift X doesn't 'support' the radiator fans being on the actual front of the case... Panel doesn't fit on by about 10mm

 

And as I didn't have the fans ordered before I did my loop, I didn't even consider the clearance.... 

 

Which now means i'm going to have to re-do all of my bends so I can mount the fans on the inside 

 

Top Tip: Think, then think again, then think some more, then do some more thinking, then do

    On the plus side having to shove everything around has resulted in a much cleaner junction - and what will be much clean bends
