    What do you mean they recently "gone up"? DDR4 is dirt cheap.
    I've never seen them this low for half a decade now. Which RAM prices are you talking about?

    Speed isn't really the priority. Size is. 
    I have software that takes up literal terabytes of space, and doesn't work if you try to install it on a slave drive. Has to be the same volume no matter what, so raid 0 is pretty much my only option. Until higher capacity nvme drives come out...

    The issue is that I have done this, and you won't believe me...
     
    The fresh install did a win10 install with NO system reserved partition. And it boots! What gives?
