    Basically you can fit more transistors in the same space because they are smaller. At 16nm, there are 12 billion transistors in a 1080ti.     DX12 in BF1 is notoriously bad, I'd suggest trying DX11. Just from my own experience even with my 8/16 cpu and 1080 with 32gb of ram, with DX12 enabled I cant even load the map without massive frame rate spikes.

    Its not the size of the TV, its the distance you are from it. If you close to it buy a Pro.

    Whenever I order food through Amazon Prime Now Restaurants (they really need a better name for that), and they forget an item or its very late, I'll call and they will refund the missing item, or the whole order, and even give me a $10 credit for the trouble.

    I think that performance claim is a bit iffy. Yes, Nvidia is binning the chips, so you should get a better chip in an FE than a regular card, but there is no reason why third party manufacturers could not be binning their supplies for their more expensive 3 fan cards, which with superior cooling could enable superior overclocks. I'd be very surprised if a Founder's Edition ends up outperforming an EVGA FTW3.

So when I see people trying to make this out as if its just Marxists stealing land (which is wrong anyway!), and not racist Marxists stealing land, I have to laugh. Because its so obvious. They are using racial hatred to spur changing the constitution to enable the theft of land, which is primarily going to benefit the politicians in power. This is probably getting too political for this forum, so I will leave it at this.

    Wouldn't the solution then be to make discrimination based on race illegal, not to make it illegal for some races who get protected class status. What protected status exists that cannot be universalized based on the underlying principle that led to having that protected status?

    Discrimination is rampant now, its just lacks legal recourse unless you are a protected class. Protected class is a privileged status conferred upon groups by the state. It is intentional inequality under the law.

    There is a lot of people on Reddit, and the company itself, who stood up for net neutrality, yet while they demand that ISPs treat all content coming across their networks neutrally and fairly, here they are taking it upon themselves to censor content they dislike, to remove people they disagree with. They think Comcast should have to carry The New York Times, yet they should not have to allow a news post they dislike. I find it highly hypocritical. The internet, social media, is a space people use to discuss things publicly. We should have the same rights in it as the public space in the physical world. We should not allow a handful of corporations that are practical monopolies to dictate what is acceptable conversation.

That's funny, I was waiting for these HDR ones too for over a year, but once the $2000 price on the 27 inch was announced, $500 just for the GSync module, I snapped up the Alienware during Dell's Prime Day counter-sale, and I am happy with it. Yet if you have the ~$2500+ for the 35 inch HDR... it still is the holy grail!

    I have a 1080, I found it adequate for the 2560x1440 your monitor has. So the Ti should be great. I'd strongly consider it, as I highly doubt the 2080 won't offer worse performance per dollar, and its a question of if you need that extra performance for the cost.

    Did they have pre-orders for the 3 fan cards? I might get a Duke. I was tempted to go in on a 2080Ti FTW from EVGA, as I am actually in your same situation where I have a 34 inch 3440x1440 GSync monitor with a GTX1080 that cannot drive it very well, yet they did not have any of the 3 fan top models available, only the reference design matching 2 fan units.

    I don't think its a good logo. Its hard to read as letters. Its also not great that you can trace a swastika in it.

    2080Ti won't even be available for a couple months, some reviewers took the cards with them from Gamescom (supposedly). Wait and see numbers is definitely the answer.

    There is no reason for Nvidia to not price them this high, they still got 10 series stock to move, and no one is going to offer an alternative at the high end until possible 2020. The total lack of competition leaves Nvidia free to charge more for more performance, instead of giving better performance per dollar. Priced against the Titans it outperforms, the 2080Ti seems reasonable. We need a Vega 128 7nm chip at $600 to shake things up. Or hopefully Intel Artic Sound does.

    EVGA is claiming "Redesigned iCX2 Cooling is 14% Cooler and 19% Quieter", so I would be rather surprised if the RTX cards run hotter, as you wouldn't expect any improvement.

    That is very strange. Two thoughts, the receiver itself is plugged into an HDMI 2.0 port on the TV, presumably the ARC (Audio Return Channel) one? Also if you are using the TV, why not just use the integrated Netflix player, with the audio return channel handling audio?
