  1. This is a very good review, very detailed. I have a question, have you considered repasting the CPU and GPU to get better thermals?
  2. Pretty much anything in my budget will overheat some more than others, this and the nitro 5 were the only ones that I found decent.
  3. Huh? I didn't know that laptop heatsinks can be soldered on. interesting.. But, I found one person who Repaste their y530 on Lenovo forum, so I at least know that it's possible.
  4. Hello, So... I'm buying a Lenovo y530 and after looking at some reviews, I saw people saying that the laptop tends to overheats a lot. And I'm thinking about Repaste the GPU, CPU and possibly also undervolting it, is this a good idea? My knowledge of tech is purely theoretical I've never taken apart a laptop or desktop, and while researching possible solutions I couldn't find a Repaste guide or full teardown of the y530, does anyone here own this laptop and/or has an idea of how to Repaste it?

  7. Location: Vietnam, but I'm going to America in a couple of weeks so I'll probably get it there. I don't really have any preference when it comes to weight as long as the laptop is adequately cooled and well speced (for the price). The same goes for battery life as long as it's over 3 hours it's ok.
  8. Hello, I'm looking for a laptop with an i5 and either a gtx 1050TI or a gtx 1060 For gaming and some light video editing, for around 800$. Any ideas?
