  1. Cheers fellow gamers. I am looking to upgrade my GTX 1070. It still runs fine, but I would like a little more horsepower to run newer games. My current rig consists of CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 RAM: 16GB 3200mhz 500GB NVME SSD + 1TB HDD 1440p 75HZ monitor I was thinking AMD because they are at MSRP at Microcenter right now. I do not want to spend much more than $500USD on a new one. So a 6600xt or 6700xt. I am not that interested in Ray tracing. I mostly play racing games and other games which do not feature Ray Tracing. Specifically in Forza Horizon 5 I have to turn the settings down quite a bit to hit even 60FPS at 1440p. If I did want to dabble in Ray Tracing, how are the AMD cards? Will they be fine for single player adventures? Should I also upgrade my CPU? I was not thinking I should because it seems to handle games and everything else just fine. Thanks for reading and have a good day.
  2. One of my sticks is dead. I tried it in every slot with no luck. Possibly a1 and b1 slots might be dead. I tried the good stick in them and my pc didn't want to boot up.
  3. Yeah, not sure whether mobo or ram went bad. Maybe ill buy both around black friday.
  4. What system/ graphics are you running these monitors with. Also what resolution and refresh rate are you running. Possibly the cable/ port you are using does not support resolution or refresh rate
  5. Sorry about the delay. I've deduced the problem to be the ram. I moved them to A2 and B2 and it seems to work. Although, the bios recognizes all 16Gb, windows only sees 8. The rest is hardware reserved. Not sure what to do about that. But, at least my computer is working now.
  6. That's fair. I let it sit over night, so that wouldn't be the problem
  7. K4,. Also I was thinking I got this aio cooler in 2016 or 17. So it could have gone out
  8. Alright, I did everything In order and it still doesn't post. I just tried my gpu and monitor on another pc and they both worked. I don't have another pc that supports ddr4 memory so I can't test those.
  9. Hello, Yesterday I was playing some rocket league with friends, when suddenly i got a blue screen of death which was really unexpected. I forgot to save the error code so I'm not exactly sure what caused it. But when it went to restart it never posted. The lights and fans turn on, but it doesn't post. When I just leave it on, it turns itself off after about 30 seconds and turns back on. I unplugged it and reseated the ram, cpu, gpu, and took out the cmos battery. I checked that all the wires were plugged in but still no luck. I'm thinking that my MB died but it's not that old. I built this system about a year ago. My system is: Ryzen 5 1600 Asrock b450 fatality Cooler master 120 aio G.skill aegis 16gb ddr4-3000 Asus Gtx 1070 Thermaltake tough power 1000w Nzxt h500i
  10. Hello there, 1. What games/ programs, what resolution, what fps target? 2. In my experience most gpus that are of the same type perform about the same, maybe just a few percent difference. In my opinion, just find one at a good price with decent cooling, overclock, size and looks. 3. I know many videos may say that some manufactures offer much better performance, but if the cheaper card can easily handle the refresh rate and resolution of your monitor do you really need the extra performance? Just something to consider. 4. Gigabyte and EVGA seem to offer good options at about the same price. Especially Gigabyte because of the triple fans. It will probably stay cooler better and be quieter. But do some more research and don't just listen to my opinion. Hope this helps!
  11. Makes sense but i was just trying to give a little give in the budget and the 2600 can easilt hande a rtx 2060 or 2070
