  1. Follow up, turned fTPM off and that still didnt resolve it. However I think I may have found the culprit... iCUE. Decided to start closing background apps off one by one to see if any of them were causing issues, first was discord, no change, the second I close off iCUE the stuttering stopped, didnt have to refresh my displays as previously noted, just stopped stuttering. going to see if the issue remains gone and if so, ill be uninstalling iCUE. Only use it to change the colour of my fans so not a big loss. Ill provide an update again tomorrow to confirm if the issue remains gone.
  2. I think I do. Ill turn it off for now as im still running windows 10 and ill report back how I get on.
  3. Chipset Drivers. Sorry, should have been more clear on that one. Also tried a BIOS update which hasn't helped.
  4. *Update* As it turns out, the issue all along has not been drivers or hardware, but the Corsair iCue software. I have had it completely closed off since yesterday and been using my PC all day with no issues at all. Booted up iCue again and within 30 minutes the micro stuttering returned. I checked for updates but there weren't any. Currently uninstalling and going to do a clean install to see if that fixes it, if not I will just leave it uninstalled, changing the RGB on my fans isn't worth the stuttering that the software causes. Thanks to everyone for their help getting this resolved! ***** Hey All. Over the last month or so I have noticed some micro stuttering on my PC. The only thing that has changed from before it started was that I did driver updates. I have tried using DDU to uninstall drivers and reinstalled from NVIDIA and AMD websites, I have checked cables, voltages, drive health, etc and nothing seems to be showing up. The only thing I haven't been able to do is swap hardware as I dont have anything on hand I can do this with. The thing is, whenever I do something that requires my monitors to refresh (i.e. Change framerate in control panel, enable/disable freesync, etc) the issue goes away for a few hours. I am at my wits end with this and although it doesnt stop me using my PC or playing games, it gets very irritating when it happens in the middle of an online match that I cant pause. Any idea what could be causing this? PC Specs: Ryzen 7 5800X 4x8GB DDR4 3200 Hyper X Predator RTX 3080 TUF 750W Deepcool 80+ Gold PSU 500GB Crucial MX500 SSD 500GB XLR8 NVME M.2 2TB Seagate HDD 1TB WD Blue HDD
  5. I’m using an Aerocool 700W but I plan on getting a fully modular 850W+ PSU
  6. I was considering the 5700XT quite highly as I don’t much care for ray tracing. Any recommendations for which brand to go with? Not heard too much good on the side of the reference card temps
  7. In the new year I’m wanting to upgrade my graphics card. I’m currently running an Inno3D GTX 1050Ti and it’s just not cutting it in games anymore. I’m looking for something to pair with my Ryzen 5 2600. I thought about the 5700XT but I wanted to know what others think is a good idea. I do like the thought of an all AMD setup and they have made some pretty big moves over the last few years. All help is appreciated
  8. So, I decided to reduce the OC on my Ryzen 5 2600 because temps were a bit high, when I got back in I realised I had no sound, checked audio devices and found no issues so I restarted, upon restart I then had no mic input either. A couple hours of googling and troubleshooting and I finally have audio back, but the problem I have is that my microphone audio is no longer being picked up. I’ve checked my headphones and there’s no issue there and the ports on the front of my pc make no difference. I feel like i have tried everything and I can’t figure out what is going on. Anyone able to help?
  9. Thank you for the help. I would love an NVME but my budget is very small so more storage for less is what I’m looking at. Maybe in the future an NVME will be what I go for but for now, the crucial sata will do. Thank you again
  10. Side note - please excuse the dust, it’s getting round to cleaning time and I haven’t had the time to clean my pc out just yet
  11. Hey again everyone. So recently I upgraded my pc with a Ryzen 5 2600, new power supply, mobo, you know, moving from an i5 2300 meant changing EVERYTHING. so I recently ran into an issue, caused specifically by my SSD, I’ve only got 120GB to play with, that’s not including windows 10 on there. So, I decided to look into a WD Blue 1TB M.2 but before I buy it, I want to ask something. Will that specific SSD actually fit my motherboard? I’ll attach some photos and links to the products so you can get an idea of what I’m working with. The problem I’ve got is that I don’t want to buy this SSD and either break it while trying to install it or damage my motherboard when/if it doesn’t fit. Thank you in advance. 12. At the moment, a 2600 will do what I need it to, no point pouring money into something I won’t take full use of. And I probably won’t upgrade until end of January/February.
  13. Would it be worth pushing my for 2TB SSHD?
  14. Hi all, I’m currently running a system with the following specs: Intel core i5 2300 GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Acer Aspire stock motherboard (m3970) 12GB DDR3 1333MHZ Ram 120GB KINGSTON SSD 1TB HDD 300W PSU In the new year i want to put some money into completely rebuilding my system so I can play more games and actually enjoy using it, so the following spec list is what I plan on upgrading to, any recommendations would be helpful (my budget is around £600) - AMD RYZEN 5 2600 - Arctic Freezer 33 CPU Heatsink+Fan - 16GB DDR4 2666MHZ Corsair Vengeance RAM (2x8GB) - Gigabyte G450M MOBO - 1TB Crucial SSD - GTX 1050Ti 4GB (keeping GPU) - Corsair 450W 80+ Bronze PSU I decided to move over to AMD because of how affordable their CPU’s are for the performance you get. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.
