Hey, So I created a post about a month ago for a 1000 euro laptop, sh*t happened, I'm now building a desktop computer with that money, everything's great, except I still need a laptop for when I'm on the go so now I have a budget of about 350-400 euro for a laptop, and honestly, I don't know a thing about low end laptops, so hellp would be apreciated. all I want is a laptop preferrably with linux preinstalled (would save me the hassle of having to switch from windows to linux, which I'm not sure I'd be able to do) and with a relatively not bad processor thanks to whomever can help !

look again, I'd forgotten to update the link, I actually changed for just what you had said (also because the website was saying that with the mobo I had there could be some compatibility issues with the processor) is it better now ? also what would you say about the speaker ? in a previous comment I was talking about it :

okidoki, also, I already have a Bose wifi speaker that can also do aux, do you recommend me keeping that one as the computer's speaker or should I buy new speakers such as the ones in my part list? edit : I ask because I'm now 30 euro overbudget and I wanna avoid that (the more I spend on my desktop computer, the less I have on my laptop computer that I need to buy)

would a 970 EVO with 250Gb be ok ? my friends and my brother tell me to get an m.2 rather than a SATA ssd, I don't know if it makes such a big difference though ? @NunoLava1998

I can wait a month, so I'll wait and see, but I don't know much about AMD's cpu's except the ones that are shown on Linus's videos so unless their from the ryzen family, ill need some help with that (also maybe reread the post, I had clicked the enter button by mistake and didnt have the time to edit everythig back in before you replied)

Hey everyone, I'm building my first desktop computer ever, and I wanted to get some advice. I'm a long time watcher of LTT, so I already know some of the important stuff, but I'm not a pro so I might be doing things wrong. I have already made a list of parts using pcpartpicker.com so here's the link : https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/GWrVP3 my budget is of about 950 Euro so I'm already a Bit overbudget. (if you give suggestion can you tell me the difference in price in euro ?). My aim with this computer is 3D work, gaming and a slight touch of video editing (and by gaming I mean games like the last far cry or PUBG) I already have a monitor, a crappy one but it works so I guess its fine for now, I'll buy one at a later date when I'll have more money I also already have peripherals, but am looking for a bigger mouse, the mouse needs to be at least 14-15 cm long and im upgrading cause well... I'm on a macbook air 2012 right now so cant really do anything on that EDIT : would there be an AMD equivalent to the 1060 that I can use, that would possibly be cheaper ?

I'll probably go for one of the dell laptops, I cannot find the 1060 version of the Y530 anywhere on the website, it being on the french, the belgian, or the german version of the site, thanks for the help

update to this, with christmas and everything, my budget went up to 1200 euro, any laptops that might be better for what im asking ? also if the laptop doesn't have windows installed by default it would be really nice (im probably going to install linux first) any other propositions ?

Must Be 1060, i need the laptop to be VR ready

I have a Mid-2012 MacBook Air with a core i5 8 gigs of ram with macOS Mojave, and have no issues. sure, I cant really hungry task, but lets be real, its a dual core processor from 2012. anyhow, usually my computer sits at 60 to 65 degrees celsius when doing basic tasks like web surfing, video streaming, and going through mails. when I start using photoshop on my second monitor (a 1080p monitor) the processor kicks up to 85 until I boost the fan speed to 100% at which point it goes back down to 65-70 degrees. what I'd recommend would be to restart the computer if it hasnt already been done, install "iStat menu" and buy a key to use it ( about 15$, usable on 5 apple devices) to have a clearer idea of what is happening, and maybe check on activity monitor ? Edit : had this computer for about a year and a half now, had High Sierra before, and was having the same temperatures as I have now, only have the processor being used a tad bit more while idle ( at about 10% usage while at 5-6% before)

hey, so I'm looking for a new monitor to use with my future laptop, because I currently have a "SyncMaster2443BW" from Samsung, and lets be honest, it's probably the shittiest lcd monitor of this last twenty years. I'm looking for either a 1080p monitor at 77/90Hz refresh rate, or a 1440p 60Hz refresh rate monitor, for maximum 200 Euro, (+-230US$) do any of you have anything to propose ? (preferred websites to look on are Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, TopAchat.com or CDiscount.com) thanks

yup my bad, the weight I'd preffer it to be under 2.5kg, as for the battery life if it's between 5 and 10 hours while browsing the internet, I'm happy. I have no real knowledge about sRGB screens (this current laptop is the first one I've ever had, and the next one is for my studies) so no real preferences over there edit : if the weight is over 2.5kg it's fine, as long as its not too far up

hey guys, to make it simple : does installing a custom ROM (lineage in this case) helps in any way to get through frp ? reason I ask is because I've got a few phones that are protected by frp, and I don't have the email adress and password needed to unlock them, and am hoping it would change something. (for those who don't care why I ask, you can just answer to that, otherwise, here's some context: )
