  1. Im sorry but this isn't what this thread was about. You will probably get more help and more people willing to help if you start a new thread. Please stop spamming this one as iim not sure anyone here is able to help otherwise they would have done so already
  2. I'm 17 and I came across Serious Sam a few years ago when I bought Serious Sam 2 for a friend on steam sort of as as a joke but mainly as repayment for a game he had gifted me. Turned out he loved the games and had played the first one. It was on his recommendation that I gave Serious Sam a try. I'm glad I did!
  3. You would need to check if the driver is a VMKLinux driver or a native ESXi Driver. If the driver is VMK then it will not work with ESXi 7 and you will get dependency errors when trying to add it to the offline ESXi Depot. Depending on what intel NIC you are using there may not be an official intel driver that works with ESXi (Especially if its a consumer chip like the Realtek NIC I mentioned previously) The likelihood is that you would need a community driver and at the moment I think they rely on the VMK driver stack which has been deprecated in ESXi 7. Hence there being no way to use NICs that rely on those drivers with 7 at this time. We either have to wait for official support (which is unlikely) or try a different NIC. A Second NIC is not an option for myself as the machine I am using is a micro PC and therefor dosnt have any PCIe Expansion slots. There is no room for any kind of expansion card. Depending on what machine you are trying to install ESXi on, you may be able to add a PCIe NIC that is compatible out of the box with ESXi. I would suggest you check if your machine can handle an expansion card and if so look into investing in a card that is natively supported. Check the ESXi Hardware compatibility list before you buy anything.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I did come across this article a few weeks ago and have become familiar with the issue as well as giving up hope of upgrading to 7. Thanks for the info though!
  5. The error cant be fixed unfortunately. The problem is that the VMKLinux Driver Stack has been deprecated in VSphere 7.0 meaning any driver which is built from a linux driver such as those for the Realtek NICs will not work at all with VSphere 7. The only way to get these NICs going with 7 would be if an official driver was released I believe
  6. I don't have an installation of ESXi to do this from. I need an image with the correct driver loaded in so that it will detect the NIC and allow me to install. This is what I have had to do with all versions of 6 previously to get ESXi installed. Also, I have found the issue. The VMKLinux Driver stack has bee depreciated in vSphere 7.0 so the drivers for these Realtek cards flat out wont work in an capacity in the new release. Anyone with a Realtek NIC is stuck on 6.7 for the time being. If We are lucky we may get official support but I think the more likely thing is to wait for a community driven project or fling to spring up and hopefully get the Realtek cards working in 7.0
  7. Thanks for the reply. I am using the offline depot and have the standard packages selected. -f did allow me to add the drivers to the profile when i tried it but once the image is exported to iso and booted on the target system I still have the no network device error so the driver must actually rely on those packages and not just want them to be there as "one of those things" I did try the VMware communities but they either weren't helpful in the slightest or just didn't reply. I think I'm going to leave it for now and wait until mainstream support for vSphere 7 starts in the next few months. This was only going to be for a test machine of sorts so I could try out 7.
  8. I'm having trouble adding the required network drivers to my ESXi 7.0.0 image with PowerCLI. Every time I get dependency errors stating the package requires vmkapi 2.2.0.0 and vmware,driverAPI-9.2.2.0 Would I be able to add an offline depot or something else so it can grab these 2 packages. Or is it an issue with what packages are included in 7.0 as with all the 6.x images I've done this with there haven't been any issues. I'm not too familiar with PowerCLI so any help would be appreciated. Ive always used this same set of commands and it worked flawlessly every time with ESXi 6.x images In case its relevant, I'm using PowerCLI Version 12.0.0 along with an ESXi-7.0.0-15843807 Offline Depot and the net55-r8168 offline bundle for the network driver.
  9. I too live in the uk and just ordered one of the shirts the other day. I chose the cheapest option of $7 for shipping and the item arrived within a week. It was something like Canada small parcel international air. Theres nothing wrong with the cheap option.
  10. Thanks for the reply(s) guys. As I said in the original post I'm not looking into the hackintosh side as much as I also need to gain experience maintaining and upgrading the hardware (I've heard they can be a bugger to work on). I appreciate the support and info though in the event I do decide to tackle a hackintosh
  11. What kind of scrap yard? Where? I've heard of places like what has been described overseas but not so much here in the uk
  12. I'm a student/tech enthusiast and something that has held me back when applying for jobs is my lac of knowledge concerning macOS and apple hardware. I'm looking to purchase a cheap mac mini (probably no older than 2010 as it would be beneficial to get it running Mojave). Does anyone know of a cheap way of getting a mac mini or similar machine (Preferably in the UK) for around £100 or under. I know its a tall ask but I wouldn't mind bringing a malfunctioning machine back into shape (in fact I would thoroughly enjoy it) Thank you for your time!! After thought: I have looked into the hackintosh route but my hardware wouldn't be the best suited to it and i am also looking to gain experience with the hardware. I have also used macOS in vmware through using the macOS patcher but the experience isn't the best and again i am looking to learn about the hardware as well.
  13. All the service packs from XP to 7 are on there. There's no service packs for 2000 or earlier but these can be obtained from WinWorld anyway. The catalog is just an archive of old/current windows updates, patches, drivers and hot-fixes. Its got stuff ranging from 2000 to 10 I believe and includes stuff for server, enterprise and embedded editions of windows as well as the standard consumer versions. So, not quite all EoL versions but most of them that need the patches/ are still used. Its really useful and I'm surprised MS don't promote it more
  14. Ah sorry, I don't think I can directly link to the download page as it comes up in a pop up window. Here's a link to the search page with Service Pack 3 right at the top: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=Windows XP Service Pack 3
  15. Would you say its better to contact ducky directly (Considering they are a foreign company) or go to the company i bought the board from (Overclockers UK)
  16. I have a ducky One 2 TKL Keyboard that I've had for about a month and a half and I love it. However, i think there may be a problem with the board. I've been trying to map FN+Home and FN+End to volume up and volume down but I don't think the macros are working correctly. Sometimes the macro will map and sometimes it wont, if it does then it might be "sticky" and continually send the macro (meaning my system becomes stuck at full volume or muted) until I am forced to reset the board to stop the behavior. The caps lock light also dosn't flash at all while recording macros, which i have read it should. I'm quite new to mechanical keyboards with fancy macro features so I'm looking for some advice really as to what to do and how to solve the problem.
  17. I know this question has just been answered but id like to add something just for the record. You can still download service packs directly from Microsoft. You do this by going to the Microsoft update catalog. you can search for any update you like and id say its the safest way to obtain these older updates. Here's a link to SP3 on there https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=60b990a0-6efa-47be-8f5a-7df2c402583e
  18. Yes, I can play audio through the mixer and it is recognised as an input in the settings app.
  19. Thanks for the reply but this isn't really what I'm looking for. I really need to know how to set up the mixer to take audio from an input, say a synthesizer a guitar and a mic, and then send that over USB to record in abelton. I have everything setup on the board but i need to know how to configure everything in ableton and get the recording set up on that side. Thanks for the help though
  20. I have recently acquired a Behringer Q802 USB Mixer and i want to use it to record audio in ableton live 10. I have no idea what i need to do in ableton to start recording from it. I already have the ASIO drivers installed. I have poked around in the audio devices under abletons preferences but i cant see my mixer in there. Maybe Im just being dumb. Any help with getting the mixer to show up in ableton so i can record from it would be much appreciated. I am a beginner with all this audio stuff so please forgive and silly mistakes. Thank you in advance
  21. The extra Vram of the 6GB would help with that and perhaps allow higher texture detail than you get already in other games. That said, as other people have mentioned the 590 is also a very good card and performs better than a 6GB 1060 (if i remember correctly) So that is also a good bet.
  22. Personally, I'd go for the ASUS 1060. I had a similar card at one point and it performed beautifully in games. It still holds up to games now at 1080p
  23. Long story short, i need to know what this peaces of code does and i cant figure it out myself as i am not familiar with .vbs. Could anyone please help to explain line by line what this code does when executed in command prompt. cd %tmp% && copy con rickyou.vbs While true Dim oPlayer Set oPlayer = CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX") oPlayer.URL = "https://pixelcoding.nl/download/rickroll.mp3" oPlayer.controls.play While oPlayer.playState <> 1 ' 1 = Stopped WScript.Sleep 100 Wend oPlayer.close Wend ## CTRL + Z is pressed here apparantly ## copy con volup.vbs do Set WshShell = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") WshShell.SendKeys(chr(&hAF)) WScript.Sleep 10 loop ## CTRL + Z is pressed here again apparantly ## start rickyou.vbs && volup.vbs the part i think i have worked out is the last part. i believe it sets the volume in windows to 100% and then loops continually to keep the volume at 100%. Obviously the last line starts both the scripts. And just for the record I am aware that this is part of a Rick Roll. Thanks in advance for any help given.
  24. if you have an Nvidia graphics card then you could use shadow play. It has a feature that will record the last 30 (although i believe you can alter it) seconds of gameplay. Its way more reliable than the recording with windows game bar.
  25. So I want to create a spreadsheet in excel and have it automatically put the "Mbps" on the end of a number after I have input it into the cell. I couldn't find this function built in but can see that you can write your own Format, i just don't know how. Any suggestions??
