Which gpu is better for price per performance? The new RX 5700 XT, RTX 2070 Super, or RTX 2080 Super. Is ray tracing all that important? What cards would you guys buy for gaming?

The PC is a planned build, that means I would have to return 4 of the 8 ram sticks, the motherboard and the water blocks. And pay all those restocking fees.

I looked into that CPU, i know its good and its been out of stock everywhere. I will see how my Unity3D and Unreal engine manage on this platform and how it manages rendering.

So the 2920X because i will be gaming as well as doing work. and with the price drop, it may be worth getting it for $550 rather than $860

Hi Guys, Does anyone who have build threatripper build knows what rams are capable with the X399 DESIGNARE EX motherboard? I saw the Ram list but want to ask persons who have experience building, cause i know at times listed Rams dont work.

well the only issue i have is i cant update from the NVIDIA driver version 385.69 anything after that my GPU stop working.

Yea, with my custom loop I just figure if just changing the the GPU only would work? like using that $1500 towards a GPU and waterblock. Its just a matter of selecting the right GPU. If i change CPU, Motherboard, and GPU i am looking at the cost also of waterblocks for each of them which is way over the budget i have.

I Currently do not want to go over $1500 I currenly play games like Gears of War 4, DMC5, GTA5 and games withing that caliber My monitor is 2560 x 144p 144hz, at time I hook up tp my 65'' 4K TV No video editing but I do use Unity as a side job to do independent game dev, but not all the time.

I need inputs on how i should go about upgrading my PC. whather i should upgrade everything or just some things. My motherboard is a ROG MAXIMUS VIII FORMULA. The Titan X is a Maxwell architechture. I was thinking if would it be ok to just upgrade to a i7-7700K and a new video card. I built this PC in 2015. I am asking because all the hype around all these new parts such as mothboard, CPU, GPU and everything. I just want to know whats the logical step to take. Another thing, does SLI make any sense at the moment when it comes on to gaming? Thanks in advance

I connect it as an external hdd and whould like to know which software to use to format it to make it bootable once i put it back in the iMac. I could do it from the original PC cause none of the booting option works for me to install ubuntu on the iMac

Hey guy, I need opinions from persons who have a good Plex server configuration. I am in the process of upgrading my Plex server from an old PC that I have due to limited space and limitied transcode capability. I dont want to go too expensive on the parts because I have to buy some pretty big NAS drives for a raid configuarion that i am doing. For the hardware transcoding I am thinking of using my old nvidia GPUs to do so. I have 8 x Gtx 460s that have 2GB GDDR3. I know that Nvidia cards only support 2 transcoding per card.My question is would I be able to buy a mining MB example (Biostar TB250-BTC+ 8 GPU SUPPORT LGA 1151 Core i7/i5/i3 LGA1151 Intel B250 DDR4) and do the configuration to use hardware transcoding using all 8 cards? I welcome any advice or reccomendations...

so basically form what i am seeing, its better i just go with the NAS drive and do regular backup to an external?
