I'm Finally a Proud Father - My Gaming Minivan is COMPLETE!
HausOfLandau replied to Shahrad's topic in LTT Releases
I would highly recommend to avoid buying any products from EcoFlow. Their customer support is dismal, and it takes weeks if you’re lucky to hear back from them. I’ve had some of the things that I bought from them need to be replaced multiple times because they’re defective and poor quality -
I bought one of EcoFlow’s batteries after they sponsored the first gaming minivan video. I have had to have the unit replaced 3 times in the last year and waited a total of 4 months between me reaching out to them and waiting to hear back from them.

I recently moved into a new place where I now pay for my own electricity usage and have become painfully aware of the cost that comes with playing video games for hours on end. Would love a video that goes into performance per watt based comparisons of different components/displays, building the most power efficient gaming rig you can, and how things like refresh rate, HDR, different cooling solutions, etc impact power consumption. sponsored by seasonic maybe? -

Google fires prominent AI ethicist Timnit Gebru
HausOfLandau replied to HausOfLandau's topic in General Discussion
Fair point... I updated the OP for more clarity into that regard. Regardless of them not following the rules, its scary to see that a leading mind in this regard was let go due to a technicality like this. Sure she should've followed the rules but my concern is more so what does this mean for the ethics of Google's future AI endeavors. -
Summary Google Fires a top AI ethicist due to her not submitting a paper within the timetable google outlines for the need to review the paper's that Google Team members author. Quotes My thoughts Regardless of them not following the rules, its scary to see that a leading mind in this regard was let go due to a technicality like this. Sure she should've followed the rules but my concern is more so what does this mean for the ethics of Google's future AI endeavors. It seems like a step toward the future that all those dystopian movies predict for our future. Do they want SkyNet? Cause this is how you get SkyNet! VRAM amount and type is what I am really curious to see how things are going to stack. I thought 10GB of GDDR6X in the 3080 was a little low. I was holding out for the reportedly canceled 20GB variant.

How about a video that goes into what various LMG staffers have for their daily carry tech. -
Hey guys. The number of devices I have that use with USB-C connections has *thankfully* started to increase. But my Z390 motherboard only has one type C header and one build into the back, and I need more Type-C Ports. So I’ve been looking for a Type-C Hub - that you can plug in into your computer’s Type-C port and it gives you 4 Type-C inputs, and I can’t find them anywhere! Do they even exist??

Would be great to get a video about the best way to pack your rig when you’re moving/shipping it. @LinusTech in lots of videos talks about the quality of packaging materials, and shipping horror stories and would be nice to have a video of the best way to pack up your rig so it’s safe when your moving to a new place, taking it to a LAN party, etc. -
I have a custom built Windows Rig, and I hate how I have to regularly open Geforce Experience, my motherboard, peripherals and a few other update tools to make sure everything is up to date for key drivers and software. has anyone found a tool or piece of software that helps streamline this, essentially a Ninite type thing that will go through and update the stuff you want for you? Many of these apps do not have auto-update features.
