Ok, so I know the nh-d15 barely fits in the meshify c with the heatsink cover. But the nh-u14s is 5mm taller than the nh-d15. So does that mean the uh-14s would or wouldn't fit in the meshify c (with heatsink cover)?

Are your pictures with or without the heatsink cover, @LogicalDrm?

I'm looking at building a new PC soon, and I've got most of the parts picked out, but there's one small compatibility issue that's been bugging me. The CPU cooler I'd like to use is the nh-u14s, with a height of 165mm. To theme my build, I want to put on the na-hc5 chromax heatsink cover: https://www.amazon.com/NA-HC5-chromax-Black-swap-Heatsink-NH-U14S-TR4-SP3/dp/B07SVM4XJD/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=noctua+nh-u14s+heatsink+cover&qid=1567960081&s=electronics&sr=1-3. However, this adds 7mm to the height according to noctua, making the cooler 172mm tall. The case I want to put this in is the Fractal Design Meshify C TG, which says it only allows for coolers up to 170mm tall. Despite the 2mm difference, would the cooler with the cover still fit? Anybody else using this same case-cooler combo?

The title says most of it. I'm looking for a solid, 1080p 144hz gaming monitor for under $300. I don't need free-sync or g-sync. Hoping for good colors, but i understand that most screens at this price range use TN panels, so I wont be too picky.

Weird. My room isn't that cool, and I'm using speedfan to monitor temps.

Not gonna lie, for a stock cooler, I thought my temps would be much higher! I'm not even sure if I need an upgrade. While idling, the CPU sits at around 20 Celsius. I ran the cinebench r15 CPU benchmark, and the CPU only got up to about 50 celsius. I also opened up MSI Afterburner and found out that the whine I've been hearing has come from my GPU fan, not the CPU Cooler. I feel kinda dumb now

I was looking around in my PC for a potential 6 pin pcie connector, and I found this thing coming from the power supply, and not plugged into anything. Is this a pcie 6 pin, or something else? I know I’m asking a lot, thanks for the help.

Here’s some pictures. I want to upgrade it for better thermals, and lower noise. There’s only room for one 92mm fan at the back, so a better cooler could help circulation I believe. Afraid there isn’t a back panel to remove, since it’s a more office-looking computer.

So, if I had a 6 pin connector, I wouldn’t have any problems with drawing too much power, right? Also, are there any complications with getting a molex to pcie, or would it work just as well as a pcie on its own?

If a gtx 1050 ti with the cpu would only draw 150 watts, could it be possible to put a single fan gtx 1060 in the system? Or does the 1060 draw too much power?

I've got a prebuilt hp pc that I want to upgrade the cooler on, but it doesn't have a cutout at the back like most gaming pcs. To install a cpu cooler with a backplate, I'd have to take the entire motherboard out and the weird hdd cages as well. I don't see this worth it, because I can't overclock my cpu. So is there anything without a backplate that's good? Or at least just a little upgrade over the stock cooler

Current specs for the PC: RX 550 2gb Intel Core I5-8400 2x8gb DDR4-2666 1x92mm case fan, and... 310 watt PSU. My main question is do you think I could upgrade the gpu to perhaps an evga 1050 ti sc without drawing too much power? I've heard that the psu's in some prebuilts aren't the best... just want to know so I don't risk anything during an upgrade. Thanks!

This is just a general question I had. I have an office computer I game on, and I noticed it had an extra pcie x4 slot available on the mobo. I was wondering if I put an NVMe SSD there, could I move the operating system (windows 10), and only that, to the SSD from the 1tb HDD? If so, how? This is my first forum post, and I am relatively new to computers, so bear with me, and thanks for the help!
