  1. Hello, So I finally got enough money for an upgrade. Had my mind set on the ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ Since I am looking for a 32" 144Hz monitor and that seemed like a decent option for the money. However, just as I started looking through the local stores and websites and stumbled upon the ASUS ROG Strix XG32VQR Both are 1440p, both are 31.5", both are 144Hz, both have FreeSync and ASUS's "Eye Care", can't seem to find too many differences, other than the main one that is HDR10 vs DisplayHDR400, which tells me nothing really.. HELP?! PLEASE?! Anyone? Or if you have a better suggestion for a monitor in the same category [144Hz+, 1440p, 32"]. Thank you!
  2. From the reviews I've read about these, the 2060 Super is more targeted at 1080p - 144Hz, it can't quite get those high FPS at 1440p.. So I was considering the 2070 Super at least or some equivalent to it, (5700 XT?) I don't know much about AMD cards..
  3. That is obvious, but if I were to look at the CHEAPEST GPU that can do 1440p - 144Hz without hiccups. And then also be a decent helper for Premiere Pro and After Effects.. [I'm not even sure After Effects utilizes GPU]..
  4. Well, I still have quite a long road to get to a place where I can comfortably afford that. But if you also have any suggestions in regards to GPUs, I created this thread, this is the actual next step for my setup:
  5. Hello, I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 3600X paired with an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW.. Awesome GPU, however I'm upgrading my monitor to a 1440p - 144Hz display and, well, the 1070 is having trouble keeping up.. So the question stands, which GPU should I get for the best 1440p - 144Hz gaming experience. P.S- I also do some Premiere Pro & After Effects work in my spare time - so that also comes into account.. Any suggestions are welcome, I don't really mind switching to AMD for my GPU if it can perform as well as I expect it to.. Thank you, Best regards, cyph0rg.
  6. Gotcha. Yeah, it all started nicely as a budget build and outgrew the budget rather quickly.. Currently running the 3600X in this Garbo board, and a 2700 in a MSI Tomahawk MAX.. Next upgrade step is to get a 3900X with a decent X570 board and sell this ASRock Pro4 with the 2700.. Just need roughly around $1100 for CPU+MOBO..
  7. You are indeed correct, this is happening on the ASRock B450M Pro4.
  8. Hello, Have the Ryzen 5 3600X in in, had it overclocked to 4.2GHz @ 1.25vcore on stock cooler. Just bought and installed the EVGA CLC 280 and I'm struggling to load up even 4.3GHz even if I give it more voltage... Is it the coolers fault? Or am I limited by the VRM? Would be weird since because AM4 optimization is rather awful on most MOBOs still, at stock configs this mobo pumps 1.478vcore to the CPU.. Thank Ahead, Best regards, cyph0rg.
  9. Hello, Anyone familiar with this motherboard and how does it perform? Have the Ryzen 5 3600X in in, had it overclocked to 4.2GHz @ 1.25vcore on stock cooler. Just bought and installed the EVGA CLC 280 and I'm struggling to load up even 4.3GHz even if I give it more voltage... Am I limited by the VRM? 10. Intel still has the crown in *some* gaming scenarios, however 3rd gen Ryzen is right up there with it, and with price-to-performance, I would say go Ryzen hands-down.
  11. The Radeon RX 5700 XT seems to perform just slightly worse than the 2070 Super, while the RX 5700 non-XT variant seems to be around the RTX 2060 level of performance.. Again, depending on the title specifically!
  12. Well, I assume he's talking about gaming at 1440p - 144Hz For that I would say anything starting from the 2070 Super will do just fine, again depending on the title you want to play.
  13. Okay, thank you for the input, another quick question in regards to the LG monitor, is there a significant difference between the 32GK650F-B and 32GK850G-B other than one being a G-Sync monitor and the other FreeSync, well and the pricing of course..
  14. Hello, I'm at an impasse.. And in desperate need of your assistance, even though I do understand what I'm asking might be highly personalized preference of each individual.. Basically I'm looking to pickup a new monitor, to use as the main gaming screen, since I do want to upgrade to 144Hz.. The problem begins with the options I've got, on one hand I really got used to gaming on a 31.5" IPS but 60Hz monitor. At 144Hz though the options are divided, either 27" IPS or 31.5" VA also 8-bit or 10-bit. Here are the options I'm considering 31.5" Options: MSI Optix MAG321CQR LG 32GK850G ASUS TUF VG32VQ 27" Options: AORUS AD27QD LG 27GL850-B ASUS TUF Gaming VG27BQ PS - The monitors aren't in any specific order of preference... Or if you guys have any other suggestions, please let me know.. Best regards, cyph0rg.
