  1. IIRC in another post someone said that AIOs tend to last around 3 years (give or take). Also there's the chance of leaks. I saw the 4090 Suprim AIO version and got me thinking about this
  2. Guys I went ahead to run some tests at 1440p, on a non-competitive FPS game, Metro Exodus (I lowered the graphics so that I could max the FPS). Personal experience: 60hz - Coming from 144hz it doesn't feel comfortable, but I know that I can get used to it as I was at that refresh rate for years. 75hz - Smooth-wise feels slightly better, in comparison to 144hz the blur is noticeable, but pretty okay IMO. 90hz - Felt like the sweet spot, the blur is not that much, it feels smooth, I got no complains. I understand that 120hz+ is better (if the system can handle it, stable) but honestly... 90hz is easily something that I get used to in games, without having to throw more money into the problem.
  3. That is a good experiment, I'll try it out once I get home If my monitor is set to 144hz right now, is there a way to lower it to 100hz on a per-game basis? So that I could leave it at 144hz and simply select on which ones I'd like my monitor to run a lower refresh rate.
  4. I used to play on 1440p 60hz monitors for well over a decade, it wasn't until last year that I bought a 1440p 144hz (165hz OC) monitor. Personally speaking, I mostly feel the difference when playing games such a League of Legends or games where the FPS goes well above 200+, otherwise... on games where my FPS bounces between 100 - 144, I don't feel as comfortable as when I was locked at 60. I'm aware that upgrading the GPU would fix the issue, so let's skip that part. I've noticed a bunch of people opting for 4k 60hz gaming, (putting the resolution aside) they seem to enjoy 60 FPS. So what's the point of throwing more money in order to enjoy 120+ FPS?
  5. If in this new gen 4000 series seem to have GDDR6X memory, should we expect anything different for the Ti's ?
  6. Or do they only fill the performance gaps? Small example: 3090 3080 Ti (performance gap filled) 3080
  7. A friend of mine is building a small PC with an RX 6500 and I have a 1440p 27" monitor that I don't need, so I thought of gifting it to him But I wondering... is there a difference between a native 1080p and 1440p downscaled to 1080p monitor?
  8. Sorry I can't test anything as I'm not home But based on your code, you should be able to run your trigger method as is, because it's static You could replace System.out.println(trigger); With trigger.main(); Your method throws AWTException, so you should handle that This could be useful too: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/20710140/java-run-static-method-in-new-thread
  9. The variable trigger hasn't been declared and you are trying to print it
  10. I have a Dark Rock Pro 4, it's really nice and quiet overall but I've been wanting to buy an AIO with screen (for the looks, hehe). I'd probably look for 240mm radiators (or 280mm if I change my pc case) If I were to do so, should I expect better temps or about the same?
  11. You just caught my attention, please elaborate Do you have pics?
  12. I never understood this... since both of them use water and radiators
  13. I think I didn't needed that as I have V-Sync enabled and I'm around 100 - 144 FPS depending on the scene This worked, I no longer have the fans at 100% and upon playing the game it sits around 70 to 75c, which while still hot, it's better than 85c
  14. Case: Mastercase H500 GPU: RTX 2080 Ti (2 fan) Fans: 2x 200m (front), 1x 120mm (back) I'm looking at videos on undervolting as suggested
  15. Do you have any suggestions on what could I do? Because this temp problem has only happened on this game due to RTX (I think)
  16. It was just a thought that I had yesterday, while playing Metro Exodus with RTX I noticed my GPU was at around 85c while Afterburner (auto) left it at 74% fan speed So... for around an hour I manually left it at 100% fan speed and my temps were around 77c
  17. I don't mind the noise as I use a headset, but I was wondering if doing so could mess up my GPU fans or something.
  18. I have the VG27AQ, which is G-sync compatible, so it doesn't really have the G-sync module
  19. If my monitor is 144hz, and X game runs at around 125 FPS Should I decreate the refresh rate to 120hz in order to enable V-Sync / G-Sync?
  20. My only experience has been Gigabyte, which isn't bad but it's slow.
  21. Could someone please tell me if will be okay with that product?
  22. @Lord Szechenyi@BiotechBen@ProjectPatatoe Soooo... I quite literally did your solutions all at once and it worked, I'll leave it in case someone comes across this issue Uninstall all the BT and WiFi devices in Device Manager Turn off PC and disconnect the external card Turn on PC and boot into any operating system Disable the integrated BT and WiFi in the Device Manager Uninstall all the BT and WiFi devices in Device Manager (again) Turned off PC and connect the external card Turn on PC and enjoy It worked, what the hell.
  23. That's the integrated WiFi, the external card (connected via PCIe) is the one not working
