@Wh0_Am_1 @SorcierX Is the Cougar Panzer-S a good case?
-
I'm going: - RTX 2080 Ti dual fan - Ryzen 1600 / 2600 - Dark Rock Pro 4 (cooler) - Two M.2 drives I won't overclock, front mesh is needed?
-
Most cases nowadays either have a front plastic or glass panel besides front mesh. I guess it's safe to say that most users don't have a front mesh case. Upon looking up some videos from GN I realized that, on average, the difference is around 5c to 10c between good and bad airflow cases. 1.- Is that temp difference "big enough" to matter? 2.- Is good airflow really needed or overrated? 3.- Under what scenario would you say good case airflow (or front mesh) is actually needed and optimal? Thank you

I'm looking for SSD enclosures on Amazon, I have two questions: 1.- Would any 2.5" enclosure work with a 2.5" SSD or do they have to specify that it's for SSD? (because some of them say 2.5" hard drive enclosure) 2.- Which of these brands is reliable for said product? - Adata - UGREEN - Sabrent - Tripp-Lite - Nadole Thank you
-
Yup, I think that's exactly the case So Photoshop and NLE programs would only run in 8 bit. I just googled "AHVA vs IPS" and some comments said so, I guess they were misinformed just as me. BenQ looks promising! is it a way better option than the ASUS model that I posted or nearly the same thing? How is BenQ customer support?
-
Though I read true 10 bit is only supported by professional GPUs (e.g Quadros), I would be using an RTX (that's why I look for 8+2) Does RTX support 10 bit? Damn, does the ASUS really have a glossy panel? where did you read that? I liked the monitor you suggested, I have a concern though, isn't AHVA supposed to have less color accuracy than other IPS types? At least that's what I've read, but TBH I don't need perfect color accuracy as I won't do print work (hence why I'm not looking for AdobeRGB monitors) Is AHVA color accuracy good enough? I wouldn't want to have inaccurate colors on screen x.x

I'm looking for a monitor for video / photo editing and casual gaming. - WQHD Resolution - IPS type - 8 bits + FRC - 95% - 100% sRGB - Below 10ms response time - 27" - 32" screen size Budget: $350 I already used Newegg filter and after looking up many monitors and reviews I ended up with two. - Acer EB321HQU - Asus VA32AQ 1.- Which one is better and why? 2.- They are cheaper than I expected, is anything wrong with them? 3.- Do you know a better monitor option? Thank you

Ohhh, thank you guys, that makes sense, I was wiping them while in the enclosure because I was unable to find my screwdrivers, I will try tomrrow
-
Yup I agree, but as long as it is 2.5" (I hope it is) it might work. I was looking for my screwdrivers to open it but I can't seem to find them... (I moved), I will have to buy a couple tomorrow

I tried contacting LaCie support for this but they didn't even reply... Let's not focus on the product, let me TL;DR this - Was an external SSD - 2 x 512 GB inside, showing a single 1 TB (RAID) - Backed it up - Wiped the external SSD - Still showing as RAID I can open the enclosure, remove both drives, and connect a single one to a PC as internal drive. But how do I un-raid it? I just want them to be sepparated drives. Thank you
-
Not dead, just wanted to remove the drive inside to use as an internal drive.
-
Is there any program / tool that would show all the information of a connected external drive? I have an external HDD / SSD and would like to know what is inside. The program has to be compatible with MacOS. Thank you!

Are you going dual GPU someday or why do you need that much?
-
Yup, at the time it looked like a good idea

Back in 2016 my computer died, I wraped the HDD in a plastic bag and stored it in a safe place (no humidity / heat / dust) Today I took a look at it, it's a 7200 RPM Seagate 1TB, looks like new, I thought I could use it as a backup drive IF it still works, I haven't tested it. 1.- Pretty dumb question but, is there a possibility that the HDD died from being in a plastic bag? (Idk, static or something) 2.- If I connect it as an internal HDD and it turns out to be faulty or damaged, could it mess up my motherboard / components or something? (Might aswell tag @seagate_surfer) Thank you

I recall to have read some posts on how AC could damags a PC due to condensation, but maybe I just misunderstood it? because I'm pretty sure many of you havd AC at home. Anyways, better safe than sorry. 1.- Could AC damage a computer or not? 2.- How far away should the AC be from the computer in a closed room? 3.- Any general precautions? Thank you

Please move my thread if wrong sub. I'm going to assemble mine in a few weeks depending on shipping time, some questions and concerns popped up in my head. 1.- Do I need to use an anti-static wristband? 2.- Can I keep the anti-static wrap (the one from the mobo) inside the box just in case I need to use it someday? or does it degrade? 3.- Before applying thermal paste for the first time, do I have to clean the CPU and CPU cooler base? if so, do I use water? 4.- Would cat hair mess up my components when building? (lol, I'm serious) 5.- What if cat hair gets into the case through the fans when turned on? would it mess up components? 6.- Is "Post" just the same as saying "It turned on and it works"? 7.- Why does some "Post" problems are fixed by removing a RAM dimm? 8.- Do you have to tweak anything in the BIOS the first time or do you just install your OS and that is it? 9.- What is Mobo "bricking" and how do you avoid it? 10.- Is it a must to keep the BIOS always updated? yes / no and why? Thank you

@Abel Tefera - If you won't make use of the 8 cores get a 2600X instead - You will hate H500P, it isn't sturdy, get the H500 or H500M if that's the model you want - I miss the point of getting a 2000 series Ryzen with a 300 series mobo - Which EVGA PSU exactly?
-
Thanks for the input Though I don't see much difference between those two in benchmarks, plus in other countries the gap in price could be higher I'm going with a 1600 ?
-
I went to look, judging only by the picture and within the budget - Corsair ATX Spec-04 - Cooler Master ATX N400 - Cooler Master ATX MasterCase 5 - Cooler Master MasterCase MC500 - Deep Cool ATX Dukase WHV2 Which one seems fine?
-
Mexico, $1500 MXN for the case (roughly like 80 USD) Buying online goes over that amount (shipping + duty fee)

1.- Is the PCB from the ZOTAC RTX 2080 Ti Gaming AMP a custom one or reference? 2.- Does 3 Fan GPUs outperform significantly 2 Fan GPUs? Thank you

- NZXT H500 - Corsair Carbide 275R Which one would you pick and why? I'm mainly looking for airflow Thank you
